Just to make a correction to this video. Germany contributed 2 more Patriot missile launch vehicles. Not complete Patriot systems.
However, Ukraine is supposed to receive 5 full Patriot systems by December 2023.

@@0maj0hns0n3 also kinzhals are not that fast, 10mach speed is unconfirmed, average speed is closer to 3.5mach, and it can only reach this speed at high altitudes where atmosphere is thin.
In lower altitudes kinzhals are really slow.
And as you said, it's intercepting, not chasing. Some people can't seem to tell the difference between interception and chase.

Patriots have a 21 second firing interval because the exhaust from the missiles would cook the launcher. One of the many reasons the launchers are deployed in arrays of 2-4 launcher trailers is to give them a better firing interval for multiple threats

Patriot battery do not cost 1.1 billion each. It costs 400 million for the system 4.1 million per missile.
Overall cost patriot system depends on how many battery systems was purchased and how many missiles was purchased. It can cost a lot more than 1.1 billion dollars

The quote is the cost of the research and development, manufacturing and procurement of all maintenance components and everything needed to operate the a single Patriot battery for its projected lifetime. The US has made so few Patriots that the cost per unit is high. If they built 3000 the cost would drop to something closer to $15,000,000 per battery and maintenance parts plus about $800,000 per missile.
Same for the F-35. Today block 4 aircraft cost almost $40,000,000 less per delivery than block 1. The current F-35 block 4 is $75,000,000 where block 1 ran about $221,000,000. Source Routers July 18, 2022, Forbes Sept 18 2018, and GAO 2023.

Yes, another story from the same comic book you took the "Ghost of Kiev" out of. If you remember, early in the SMO the Ukrainians floated a story of a legendary Ukrainian pilot ace called "The Ghost of Kiev" who supposedly had shot down a number of Russian SU-25 that week. Well it turns out they took the footage of that from a computer game. The entire story was a complete and amateurish fabrication. There never was any "Ghost of Kiev". This video here appears to be by the same sort of people who floated the "Ghost of Kiev" story.
First of all even the latest iteration of the endless pit of funding that is the Patriot system can not in most cases successfully engage a Kinzhal cruise missile. And here they claim they took out a full nine Kinzhal missiles one after the other in a row. That's simply not in the cards. Even a state of the art Russian S-400 ADS system with a skilled and experienced crew would have their work cut out. This is just more feel-good propaganda that ignores real world facts.

I love that were getting to test these systems in a real world near peer conflict. But remember this works both ways, Russians are learning about our capabilities and will now have more data on how to counter them.
It wouldn't matter, with our intelligence and there lack ther of, they cant do anything. As well as the sanctions, It'll be a long time coming before they can even imagine doing anything.

Also Khinzals time to time destroy some parts of Patriot missile battery, but it is hard to do it, because Ukrainians are very good in hiding them between buildings in Kiev, so normal cruise missiles like Kaliber, Kh-101, Kh-58 or Kh-31 are unable to get to them over these building, only Kinzhal with his dive from stratosphere is capable to get them. But they are expensive, so West is capable to repair/replace damaged parts faster, than is Russia capable to destroy them.
Only carpet "bombing" of Kiev will be effective in destroying of whole AA defense of Kiev.
Back in reality, you clearly have little idea how a Kinzhal is even put together. Russian glide bombs only have a range of about 50km, which means they have to fly *into* the Patriot's missile envelope to drop a bomb.
If you've been paying attention over the last year, Russia hasn't flown into Ukrainian SAM coverage since the start of the war.

Russia's Defense Ministry said that at least one Kinzhal was used in the attack on Tuesday and claimed that a Kinzhal had hit a Patriot air defense system. Two U.S. officials confirmed that a Patriot system had been damaged in the attack but added that the Patriot remained operational against all threats.
The Kinzhal was destroyed, but it was close, and debris hit the system, as far as I know. Or a launcher was defect and it got damaged by it's own rocket

Did you watch at the size of the territory both sides gained and lost this year? Less than 20km². 5 x 4 km. Ukraine is 600k km². None of the sides gained anything significant this year, besides Bakhmut, the new bridgeheads, snake Island and the oil platforms. As for the "intercepted missile", thats two different missiles neither of which is a Kinzal. The first one with the hole is too small to a kinzal, looks like FAB 500. The second one is too wide to be a Kinzal.
Its the front portion of the kinzal you can tell by how thick the steel is. Its made to penetrate at very high speeds.
the one they showed off as Khinzal was actually BETAB 500 bomb, actual Khinzal missile is 7 meters long with a very sharp pointy tip

Ukraine claimed. They also clam to shoot down 378 of the 10 drones that attacked. Hypersonic means it's really hard to intercept as well as possible ionization at high speeds which messes with radar reflection

No they are still active, Russia just isn't wasting weapons on sites protected by them. Especially since Russia has said that don't have that many Kinzhals missiles to spare. Ukraine only has 2 or 3 full batteries so most of Ukraine isn't protected by it. There are not that many S-300 sites either, so Russia has been using older missiles against less defended targets. Though most Russian firepower appears directed at the Ukraine forces trying to take Tokomak.
What Germany should have done is honor Minsk Accords,instead of boasting about Patriots
Be honest; you have no clue what the "Minsk Accord" even says. If you did you'd know that RUSSIA violated it first by refusing to withdraw its military forces from sovereign Ukrainian territory, and because of that, NEITHER SIDE fulfilled a single provision of the agreement.
But I have to comment, that these pictures and videos feom destroyed rockets or bombs are NOT kingshal (my pardon if I do write that wrong).
The images showed a normal plane bomb. The Kingshall has a whole different aerodynamic, it is a sharp one. Like seen in the video being shot from a jet when I remember right.
But those demolished on the ground was clearly not one. The germans showed on TV and on the newspaper the same (normal) bomb and labeled as a Kingshal. But it's not. And a lot of Germans gave their critics because of that.

Just because something is fast doesn't mean it can't be intercepted. The russian hypersonic missiles can be intercepted but only at a distance. Plus they don't have stealth tech on hypersonic missiles
They most definitely can. I don't understand why people think of hypersonic missiles as invincible super weapons. Hypersonic just means that it can fly at speeds of over Mach 5. Patriot systems have been incredibly successful at shooting down missiles going Mach 4+, so Mach 5 shouldn't be a problem. Hypersonic missiles also don't go Mach 5+ for their whole flight, and it was reported by the Ukranian Patriot operators that the Kinzhal was going Mach 3.4 when it was intercepted.

Anyone who understands that chasing a missle and intercepting a missle are 2 different things.
The usa didn't think it could intercept it but believed after seeing the remains. The thing is that the kinzals were aiming straight at the patriots so it was easier to intercept. They just needed to know the trajectory of the kinzal. Additionally, the kinzal doesn't travel at hypersonic speeds the whole time. Finally, the whole glide capabilities are blown up since the missile is uncontrollable when at hypersonic speeds due to the plasma barrier.

Because you are confusing Kinzhal which is just air launched ballistic missile like Iskandar (aka a modernized SCUD missile) with Zircon their uber unbeatable hypersonic missile that hasn't been fielded yet. Air launched or ground launched all ballistic missiles follow ballistic trajectories which means they travel in relatively straight lines. Its why the Russian have been putting so much money in trying to develop Zircon. Since is not a ballistic missile but hypersonic autonomous maneuverable cruise missile.

The much cheaper IRIS-T is actually even more reliable but has a shorter range.
IRIS-T isn’t for ballistic missiles and long range anti-aircraft. Iris-t is equivalent to NASAM. It’s for point defense against saturation attacks. It needs to be integrated with a patriot to be fully effective.
@@b1121 depends on the version. There are 25, 40 and 120km versions. Their price doesn't differ too much but the 40km is nearly twice as big and the 120km version is the Air-to-Air version.
NASAMS is less a missile system but more a detection- and tracking system. You actually do not shot "NASAMS" missiles but whatever is connected to it, be it AMRAAM, S-300 or even IRIS-T.
The IRIS-T equivalent would be SkyNet/SkyNex.
The 40km Iris-T wasn't made with the goal to shot down ballistic missiles but still seems to be pretty good at.

That patriot battery has now exposed it's location. Russians baited them into firing a Salvo so now they can determine where it exactly at. Not looking good for that battery it will be taken out.
It might have relocated since then. Also the batteri isnt just one thing, there is multiple systems spread out over a bigger area.
You want to take out the radar, which will be at a separate spot. So you need radar searching missiles to take that one out. Or you have to use drones to find it and another one to attack it, like Ukraine is doing with the S400 and S300 systems.
