- WASTE -- an informative short film on the relationship between food waste and resource waste.
A film production of SCHNITTSTELLE THURN GbR commissioned by WWF Germany and UNEP in collaboration with SIWI and FAO. www. tastethewaste.de
Excellent film.I like particularly how the graphics illustrate the concepts in such an elegant way.
Wow, this is haunting. I didn't know any of this, we need to show this in schools.
very good basic short, that makes a gr8 point.
i work for a food services company, and it pains me to see all the food that gets thrown away after the end of the day. food should be gold and previous, wish we could at least give some of it to the homeless.
I had to pause this to say wow out loud without missing any info.
.... Wow.....
The Earth don't just managed to interest hisupmanusia today, but for the next generation. Food, water and energy future posterity to remember and very important nowadays is prepared by us.
great vid! thx for sharing.
Please list the studies in the description. That would be helpful.
Very Imformative. this imformation needs to be shared
Excellent and informative video.
Very impressive!
where do you get your information from? I am doing a school project about this and would be grateful to know where you got this.
Some clips of this video came from "HOME" (2009 documentary).
Everything we "throw away" has an impact.
David Leonhardt yes you are correct
thank you for the great work and all the information.
think globally buy locally. be a conscious consumer.
go vegetarian, it's also healthier for our bodies and not only for mother earth
Why did we get so careless about "throwing things away". Where di we think it woud go? Good info in this vid!
Can anyone tell me what place this is at 2:27 ? Are these cows being rounded up before they enter the slaughterhouse?
no, they pretty much live like that, its the new look of cattle farming in the usa!
please provide accurate subtitles so our students can read and watch this!
You can turn them on
Here's a little news article that might be helpful for folks who don't buy the cows burping/farting as being significant. www.foxnews.com/science/2013/11/26/big-methane-burp-cows-refineries-spew-gas/
too many comparisons and not enough about the real impact (e.g. explain more about how is using water truely a waste. In western countries water is the cheapest good there is). I wish there were videos purely on solutions, proper schemes on raw meat dates of use etc
I think we should grow pigs rather than cattle. Pigs eat almost anything, waste food from hotels and restaurants would make an excellent fodder. Ant they don't need large pasture lands either.
Cows don't burp
Do you think it is important to donate to charity? If yes, support us develop Jiraffe, the app that will make fighting food waste and hunger easy, fast, global. You can fund our campaign here www.indiegogo.com/projects/1st-smart-app-to-fight-food-waste-hunger-jiraffe/x/8859577
This is a serious issue I care about, but this video is full of irrelevant and uncited rubbish about 'how much land/resources/water' a burger uses; these are all characteristics of the processes behind them - it works in horticulture because thats what all those renewable resources are meant for and its very prosperous. The problem is the attitudes of bulk sellers and how they control their disposals because of how prosperous it is. They even demonstrate food wastage by having that actress throw a good apple in the bin at the start, the hypocrites.
