I'm an introvert but I do really well in sales one of the top in the market. I've noticed I'm really well-doing 1-1but when it comes to 3 or more I get nervous lol, but I'm working on it.
An extraverted tech sales or digital marketing job may lead to an over-sized interest in the underlying tech or marketing subject matter, which then becomes a springboard into an introverted subject matter specialization. Openness to such changes is known as career development. Persevere to excellence. Good luck.
I'm in soft dev. There's still tons of interacting. HRs asking this and that. Interview with a projects supervisor and client. Teams etc. Daily stand up meetings. Everyday for 10-30 mins. Required attendance to events. Also you need to be a bit smart :( im far from smart
Have you been more hesitant recently recommending software development careers to people because of the recent developments with AI and GPT? I'm a sophomore computer science student and I am worried AI is going to replace a lot of the software dev positions by the time I graduate college.
Really wanna job where i can completely cut my relationship and communication with other human beings 😂 If Nasa ever does a one way ticket to mars where i can be alone untill i die, then, I'll just sign up 😂
Being an Optometrist is extremely social -- you work hands on with 10-40 patients per day in a small space. You don't get any time to yourself to recharge. It's a very retail and sales environment, even though it's a "medical" profession. It's also a career with extremely high student debt ratio to salary, so you can't really "bail" on it if you don't like it after optometry school. I wouldn't recommend it for introverts.
