BEST OF THE BUTCHER BIRDS
World War II Germany's Focke-Wulf Fw 190A featured a relatively simple design that placed a large radial engine into the narrow fuselage of a small, single-seat fighter. After the "Butcher Bird" took its first flight on June 1, 1939, its effectiveness in air superiority, interception, ground attack and bombing roles led many Luftwaffe pilot to happily trade their Messerschmitt Bf 109s for the new warbird. This first-ever E-flite® Focke-Wulf model is based on a full-scale replica once owned by the late Rudy Frasca. Painted with the wartime markings of Austrian Luftwaffe pilot Oskar Bosch, the replica has been flown in west coast airshows and at the National Air Races in Reno. I always enjoy your reviews but you were speechless on this one. You were completely surprised and amazed at the flying quality of this air frame. Kurt Tank designed an air frame that even a novice pilot could fly and so did EFlite.

One of the best takeoffs by Pilot Robert! Even the retraction and deployment of the landing gear was so clearly seen. Then, the landing, which was quite well executed considering the plane was a bit fast. This was indeed a very exciting video! Big salute to the Petrincic Brothers!!! 😀❤

What a beautiful looking and flying RC Warbird.
Captain Blaz you need to be complemented as much for your filming as your brother for his flying. The opening shot with the spinner occupying most of the frame and likewise near the end was very artistically done. 👍
Ps. Got my first programable TX yesterday. I got the NX8 and hope that over the course of the next few days I'll learn enough to get my HZ Sport Cub S2 and UMX Turbo Timber defined and bound to the transmitter. Oh yeah!

Usually I just trim the plane on maiden. But this in fact didnt needed no trimming. Its really like flying on tracks. We will film it again and I will push it more next time. Big salute back from Slovenia.

It looks like you broke one of the tabs on the battery rails when you were taking the battery out after the flight. You should double check. You don't want that battery tray sliding around. Another great flight and video guys! Keep up the great work!

@@PetrincicBrosRC I had something similar happen on a P-51. I ended up making a "key" to fit in the opening to hold the tray in place. Both of the little tabs had broken out on one side. I think they are a weak point.
You should tell us your top 10 foamies some time. They are all nice, hard to tell which are the best.

Wow 🤩 What a great plane and it was flown so good! The landing was almost on the centerline which shows that Captain Robert is not an amateur pilot anymore. Maybe the runway needs to be a little bit longer 😁

I’ve only seen this in the box at the local hobby store. Knew it was big but I didn’t appreciate how much: it’s the size and weight of the now ancient Topflite .60-sized warbirds. It looks fantastic; molded detail is hard to top, but it weighs as much as a glow-engine model. I’m still stuck in the mindset of the early electric parkfliers with lower wing loading. My early EPO parkflier warbirds still survive; they are durable but they’re dogs in the air.
I also love light birds. But this one is one amazing flyer.

Kudos to pilot Robert for a perfect flight. Even though that airplane was one of our enemy aircraft in WW2, It was a handsome beast. I would bet that ground handling one of those would have been a nightmare due the the poor visibility. Only thing you could do is "wig wag" the tail to see where you were going.
Actually german pilots preferred the FW 190 to the BF 109 because of its superior ground handling qualities. The wide undercarriage and forward rake of the gear legs made for a stable platform for landing on rough ground. The preferred technique was to make a three point touchdown so that plane would stick to the ground without ground looping.
The view over the big radial engine was poor once on the ground but that was compensated for by weaving a bit back and forth like a snake to allow for a bit of view around the sides of the engine.
It was no different than pilots flying a P-47, P-51 or any other tricycle landing gear equipped aircraft.
Pilots complained more about the view over the FW 190 D-9's nose than the radial engined A's. Although they much preferred it's superior performance at altitude.
I always look at all the planes from ingeneering view and I love them all.

@@PetrincicBrosRC cubic volume of package. Even though it only weighs 5-6kg or less, its shipped on water weight of cubic capacity. At almost 2.5 cubic meters it's a potential for a heavier package to be shipped in the same amount of space. Very strange aye my man
