I had Black 83 Coupe and the Grey 87 Brougham both brand new. I also had a brand new 2011 Jag XJL. The 87 Brougham was my favorite. Although the Jag took off like a jet plane on a runway.
God i miss mine i had an identical brougham but it was white with blue pinstripes and blue leather. My wheels were much prettier than these though i never cared for the wires. I always laughed at the amount of cigarette lighters and ashtrays in that boat lol. I’ll always regret letting her go i hope she’s in good hands now.
I wish Cadillac recapture beauty like their car version here. Hey, but it's my dream, but in reality Cadillac has lost what they really stood for like most car manufacturers do today. Only but a few Automobiles have style, grace and class today.

Check ebay. Saw a 1985 red Fleetwood wanted 20k for it. was still a new car had less than 10k miles on it. Might have still been under warranty. It was gorgeous. Owner of a dealership bought it new in 85. Not a rock chip or dent on it.
Love it.....but I have 1 question. Why did Cadillac use that flexible rubber/plastic/whatever material just fwd of the tail light assy? They used it up front as well (i think) on the lower fender in front of the front tires. Any of these cars no, just about, those are rotted out. I wonder why they used such a material in the first place. Why not steel like the rest? A safety thing or something?
It had to do something with regulations. Accidents up to 5mph should do no damage to the car other than the bumper fillers. Something like that.... I‘m not 100% sure how it worked.
The aftermarket replacement ones are of better quality and last. GM in its rush to conform to New regulations from the feds. Did not consider the long term effects of using such inadequate materials.
GM has sank to making plastic vehicles that cost more than they are worth. No real chrome, plastic bumpers, plastic headlamps that turn yellow in a few years, plastic switches and overall cheap feeling.
