You do so incredibly with Dali - for me as a viewer, he's gone much further than I thought he would. He gives me whiplash just watching him over a fence 😂 don't be so hard on yourself xx
2nd day with Kahl was a pleasure to see , love how he carries his head and goes to the jump like GP horse with so much confidence . Well done to the both of you
As someone who has a 17hh mare I know how tricky getting such a big body around a smaller space can be but you rode both horses so well. Dali’s jump looks so powerful, and Khal is just the best boy. Well done 👏🏻
My goodness. Khal barely breathed on the second part of that double….. was shocked to see the pole come down. Rewatched it several times as I couldn’t believe it! 😲
Kahl is just the coolest horse to me, like how can this totally normal chill kinda small looking horse compete like that! So cool. (Love Dali ofcourse 😂❤️)
I think you are absolutely amazing, Holly. Being gone for so long, and not riding them..... it is a lot to expect you to ride like the end of last year. I was very impressed with Dali, he looked like a different horse. When you were riding on the flat, he looked so confident and fancy!! And, two classes back to back for two days, you both did brilliantly. What a case of bad luck with Kahl, I didn't even know the pole had fallen. Please give yourself some grace while you get back to riding like you did last year!!!
Even on your worst day you are better than the vast majority of be so hard on yourself you all did a great job and wonderful to see Macdaddy back ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Its amazing how Dali whips up those long front legs so fast 😂 they are both so careful! Great performance, especially for first day back, can only imagine what ye will be like by end of summer! well done Holly
Hi holly , It's 7-45pm on Thursday night from Coventry U.K. , sometimes YOU just need to count the first-time shows as training. AND a BIG thank you to your dad for ALL his help👍.TAKE CARE AND all the best. 😊😊😊👍👍👍👍
Don't be too hard on yourself -- 6 mths away, of course you're rusty, and those jumps were all very beefy! And you really did improve from one day to the next, you are on your way to getting your mojo back. The scope on both of those boys is amazing. This weekend was just a warm up and reacquaintance for all of you. And even your groom was spunky -- doing jumps on the ramp :) You won't even remember this a couple of shows from now. You've got this and more practice will get you there, Holly.
Morning from Aus!! Second round on the first day really demonstrated how smart big ol' Dali can be on his feet. Just need to knock the rust off a bit! That pole down in the last round was such a shame - looked like Kahl barely touched it. Good job and can't wait to see how you all are by the end of the summer!
I think it was a perfect first outing for this year. I sometimes think you are way to hard on yourself. You've been away in Australia and you've hardly had any time at all to work with the boys. That being said, it is good to be able to watch yourself back and figure out what you want to do to make it better.Well done Holly! Well done Dad the groom!
Aww class 🤗🤗 well done Holly amazing job ❤️ u made that look easy 🎉 awesome 👏🏼 , lovely to watch your journey 🤗🤗, . On are way r selfs to cavon soon 😅xxxx
I wish I could ride around like you after 6 months break! You did awesome, don't be so hard on your self, you know what you want to improve, we all have things to be improved. Be proud
In my humble opinion in the 2nd round from what it looked on the video Dali looked like he was a bit heavy on the forehand and made it a bit difficult for you to get him balanced, I think he will be a big jumper when he gets some more experience at these higher fences and you can get him more on his back end ,don't know if that was what you felt ? . 1st round he looked like was fresh and rearing to go. Khal showed his experience and was so naturally balanced and looked light in your hands. All your hard work with him last year is really paying off , great to watch them both ,love these videos , and to follow your journey with them and your dad
Have you ever considered taking Dali cross country? I wonder how he'd do if he could stretch out more. I know it's hard to get the big boy around the arena.
Dali is so Fiona-coded bless him. I've never showjumped competitively myself, but I was hoping you'd pick up the pace with him on day 2. Well done everyone!
Well done Holly the boys did well so did you so as below said don’t be hard on yourself your a beautiful rider. I’d never thought you’d use the word insecure never in a million years are you I don’t think so anyway. Great to see your Dad too.tfs🤗🏇🤗
What’s up with the shirtless mannequin at the end of the ring?! 😂 what are they advertising?? Well done in your first competition of the year😊 knock the rust off and you’re off and running 😊
Hi groom daddy 👋 You need to fill up w/more protein to give you more energy. 💪🏼 What’s that drink all the English. riders drink… oh Yfood meal shakes, which does have 23g of protein. Regardless, thought you jumped both horses quite well. Bravo !🙌
Both boys are looking great! I am so impressed with how far you’ve gotten them ❤️ Also Dali’s trot in that warmup was lux! 🤩 I’ve been noticing tho, that Dali sometimes seems to have problems changing the lead on his back legs? Would that be because of unbalance or could it be because of tightness or something else in his hindquarters/back? Anyways, he still looks great and his size really makes those jumps seem small 😂
Awesome video as usual, loved watching you over the big jumps 🧡I only started watching a few months ago when you were on rocky in Australia 🇦🇺 how do you find the difference vloging in oz vs Ireland? I’ve just started a channel and vloging in Australia and I think as there is not as many people doing it I feel a little self conscious at times. 🧡🇦🇺
I feel more comfortable vlogging in Australia I think because I don’t know many people at shows. Whereas I know a lot more people in Ireland so I get embarrassed that they might see me hahah
Why you and other people in england and united states, canada always say show? A show is'nt a competition, it's where people let see what their horses can do, and clinics and demos. Those competitions you did are calling showjumping competition 😅 But i understand anyway. I had the impression that even dali was not so fast, but it will come again with training, because you did'nt had any competition for 6 months😅. Second day was better but with fences down😢 But this was a very good first showjumping competition.👌
That’s what we call them in English. I understand it might have another name in other languages. If you said competition, we would understand what you meant also
@@TheSaffieron yes i know, but how you call than an event where aren't competitions, only for fun and with youtubers on their horses and many trics, and demos and clinics, like in the netherlands horse event junior and horse event profesional with +/- 50K visitors, or flanders expo in belgium, or feria del caballo in spain, ok in spanish they call it feria. All about horses, but nothing competition? In germany they make also diference, because they have competitions and shows or expo's like expositon. Because real competitions are organised by Fei or Longines or other organisations. But i understand what you tell me, but i find it not so logically. But that's the english/ american way😅 I understand that for example london horse show is called show, because there are not only competitions, for example Meg from elphick.event.ponies was in london to give a clinic with jam😅
Everyone has to start somewhere & 80cm is quite okay. Just think back where you & your horse(s) started at & where ya’ two are now. Be confident in yourself, confident in your riding ability & most importantly TRUST your horse! The rest will fall into place as you desire & as you’re ready for. I’m sure your horse won’t care if it only jumps 80-85 in the arena(+),as long as they are w/you.🥰👀🐴 ciso SJ sure isn’t for one w/height issues or basophobia/FOF, in the arena or a XC course.
You do so incredibly with Dali - for me as a viewer, he's gone much further than I thought he would. He gives me whiplash just watching him over a fence 😂 don't be so hard on yourself xx

Yess, the second day looked so much better. Very excited to see where this season takes you and your horses!!

Greatings from Poland! You and your horses are wonderful. I know how difficult it is to jump after a break. Good luck in the 2024 season👍
Positive riding is the key for both boys, you can really see the difference, cobwebs gone, good luck in your next competition xx
Dali seemed much more balanced in the second 1.20 - head up, balanced, and forward. Super!
Not surprised you are proud of Dali, he has come on so much. Well done.

I wish I could ride around like you after 6 months break! You did awesome, don't be so hard on your self, you know what you want to improve, we all have things to be improved. Be proud
I’m a puller too…😢😂 Great rounds the 2nd day Holly! 💪
Awesome on the clear rounds. The arena was tiny. 21:27 that was so cute
Show vlogs are never boring 🤗
You are riding so well!!! They both went so well. They go so well for you Holly. I’m really gutted that you whant to kha 💕💕

That two horse truck looks good. Very useful.
Dali is so Fiona-coded bless him. I've never showjumped competitively myself, but I was hoping you'd pick up the pace with him on day 2. Well done everyone!
Yay I’m first. Good morning from New Zealand Holly.🥰🥰🥰
Well done, you are so thoughtful, try not to be so hard on yourself! I would love to see you compete in dressage with Dali x
Well done Holly the boys did well so did you so as below said don’t be hard on yourself your a beautiful rider. I’d never thought you’d use the word insecure never in a million years are you I don’t think so anyway. Great to see your Dad too.tfs🤗🏇🤗
Thank you. I think it’s just natural to be a little bit rusty after so long away!
Fantastic 👍🍀🇮🇪💚🍀🇮🇪💚🍀🇮🇪💚👍
What’s up with the shirtless mannequin at the end of the ring?! 😂 what are they advertising?? Well done in your first competition of the year😊 knock the rust off and you’re off and running 😊
Haha it’s a cowboy mannequin, don’t know why 😂
Good show! 👍
Hi groom daddy 👋

What’s that drink all the English. riders drink… oh Yfood meal shakes, which does have 23g of protein.

I think the pulling is a little bit of self preservation until you get more confidence showing again?
2nd day with Dali crackin round in the 1.20

Just watching your new video where you actually talk about this. Nevermind my question then 😂🤦🏼♀️
Haha perfect timing for that video then! 😉

Honestly Dali is so big that the 1.20 looks small
how is the horse you broke in last year Maverick?
I haven’t seen him yet this year, he’s still on his break. To be confirmed what the plan is with him, he’s not my horse so it’s up to his owner ☺️
your stirrups are soooo lonnggg
Actual Olympic rider, Cian O’Connor told me to have them that length so 😉
I th8nk khal is a better off the two ,I know you said about selling k but I'd pick dhal to sell .

Show/competition are interchangeable in English, but they mean the same thing :)

It’s wild to me that someone would say “just a nice pop round a 1.30” 😳 and I’m cacking up 80’s 😂 You did great and the boys jumped fab x
