That's not how quartersawn is sawn at any mills I've known. They cut into axial quaters (as you show), but then alternate cutting planks between one flat side and the other--i.e., at 0 and 90 degrees, such that the growth rings cross through each plank almost perpindicular. It's 45 degrees off from what you show.
