I have received 2 sets of probes as replacement but still have not received any level of accuracy if 10 degrees is close enough your good to go I can’t do that
Just bought one of these (16 july 2020) and it came with the latest firmware. I tried connecting it to my wifi and it failed every time. I finally figured out though that it was because I was trying to connect it to the 5GHz network (faster), but it doesn't seem to have support for that, so I connected it to the older 2.4GHz network (slower but better range), and it worked on the first try. It has worked flawlessly from that point on. I can highly recommend it, but be aware that you have to have the 2.4GHz enabled on your wifi router, or it won't work.
Purchased 1 as well and am very disappointed, the original is way better. WIFI does not work (and is is updated), constantly having to turn Bluetooth on and off or it says no probe connected. Will be seeing if I can return it also.
I’ve had this model for a year or so. I’ve had nothing but problems! I’ve contacted them and sent screen shots in the past. They’ve worked out most of the bugs. I did get a new iPhone and installed the new app. I did the firmware update and still having issues connecting to the cloud. I’ve given up on them and now it just sits there and I wish I had my money back.
Bummer wish I woulda seen this first. I bought it at costco today. Ill give it a try. Costco is way cool with returns so I'm good on that side. I was really hoping for temps away from the house. thanks for the video, cheers dude.
IMOWLOW sorry man. Unfortunately, I haven’t seen any reports that it has gotten better. Please let m know if you have any more luck. Thanks for watching my channel.
The Backyard BBQ Show - BBQFOOD4U Lol - you should do that and probe 24 things at once! It will look like those old phone operators that would connect all those phone calls.
Hello HuffDaddy BBQ, Before anything we would like to thank you for your review. As you well noticed, the Cloud feature (available during the time of your review) requires a firmware update, at least to version 1.122, as well as the latest iOS or Android app installed. On the 4th of July, after informing us you can’t update your firmware, in less than 23 hours time, we came back with steps that address and solve the Internet connectivity issue, which caused the firmware update to fail. Unfortunately, you had already taken the product back to Costco. With this message we would like to propose sending you another device, already updated to the latest firmware, in order to complete your review, showcasing the Cloud feature successfully, as originally intended. Looking forward for your reply - support@grilleye.com

Ryan McCune thanks Ryan. Just FYI, the company finally reached out to me and said that the cloud is active and would provide unlimited range. They then gave me about 7 steps to do to try and reset the device and connect it to WiFi. Given the fact that it was dropping of Bluetooth frequently and it was $90, I told them I felt it was too much work for something that should work correctly out of the box.
HuffDaddy BBQ I agree with you on that. It was a toss up between this brand and the fire board. I liked this design better but like you said shouldn’t have to take extra steps to get something to work.
@@ryanmccune6525 You are absolutely right, about how it should be. Actually, we managed to achieve this with the GrillEye Pro Bluetooth setup. This is why we focus 1) on our customer service to guide users in successfully resolving any issues identified 2) on software updates that will simplify the process by incorporating parameters identified as common to all users. Thanks for the review, I was considering it but now I think I'll go with a Maverick thermometer instead.
I had a Maverick Thermometer no good either.

Having the same issues 3 months later, did you find a work around?
@@patrickhurn317 they sent me a new 1. Have yet to try it out
Does it read the temperature of the grill and how high can it go

From the review, everything works except the wi-fi. I don't need to be away from my house or in the clouds. For the price, I'm going to buy one.
Thanks for your review. You just saved me some money and a headache. Now I have to subscribe. ;)

try taking your wifi password off connect the unit then try to connect and update it again. Worst case scenario it doesn't work.
Love this review. I was wanting to get one but I think I will pass now

Think you should take a course of IT logics ........ looks like there s nothing wrong with thermometer...
I’m just fine with IT. My review is honest and genuine. Others saw the same as I did. Maybe it’s been fixed since the.
