SUCH a great show. Catherine Reitman is truly inspirational, this world needs someone like her to show everyone flawed/real/great mothers and women. Thank you for this wonderful show, and I can't wait for your next piece. Kisses from France!
As a homeschooling stay at home mom this is one of the only shows that represents my life and some of my challenges so of course they can't include all aspects of motherhood and all parenting choices, especially the alternative ones but it is the closest representation of what motherhood can look like especially within the vast majority of women in western societies.
Ironic! I met Ryan Belleville (who plays Lionel) in 1999 at Loose Moose theatre in Calgary, and I was pregnant. Then I had the baby and then another baby and quit doing improv for 10 years. I love this show!!! Thank you, Catherine! :)
There´s a mistake saying that the characters are upper class. Jenny and Ian; Frankie and her partner are middle class even struggling to make ends meet
The part of this show that I find slightly implausible is when she abandons her job in Montreal. Travelling, ambitious, working moms would head back for something serious, but typically would not risk their careers for a minor fever (unless it was confirmed to be something worse).
@@vaheltynerard you're right and the measles at the age Charlie was on the show can be deadly. You leave whatever you're doing when your kid is going through anything like that.
I was soured on this channel, and never viewed because I remained so repulsed by Gian Ghomeshi's confessed behavior, who was the original host who set the show's format. But if they continue to provide similar content to this one, I may come back. I am only able to see two episodes for the first time, and it took only seconds to have me laughing hysterically like a mental patient. By the end of two episodes, it reversed any remaining doubts I may have had that I would ever be able to find women's comedy funny, especially one like this based on the subject matter. Hint: Catherine Reitman and CBC, careful not to give away too much. Such goldmines are likely targets for copyright crimes, especially stealing strategies like this one to create something similar and spending considerable money trying to claim it. Please be careful not to lose it, but you seem up to the task to me.
To admit that she views herself as a selfish parent-is an extremely selfless & brave act. She's a beautiful human being & I'm more than sure as much of momma to those babies as they'll ever need! 🤍🤍🤍
This show is so beautiful, strong and sincere. Can't wait for season 4.

He had the measles
A high fever yes. In a heartbeat.

Such a great show and awesome characters. I was so surprised it was Canadian cause it doesn't look low budget
Lol
Maureen Ponderosa. Or should I say Bastet. RIP.

I agree with the format and free speech, but not sharing when it can easily be used for crime. This is one of those. Be careful both of you.

Show was pretty good, but had to stop watching because her mouth really bothered me.
Her mouth is quite distracting. Almost looks like a cleft lip or something.
Keep watching, I thought the same but she really grew on me. I think she's gorgeous now. And the fact that she also wrote and created it is inspiring.
She’s beautiful and your petty.
Grow up. She is beautiful.
