"Wothula mntwanami umama uzofika akuphathele amaswidi amnandi"... This song took me back to my childhood when I lived with my Gogo and waited for my mother to visit on weekends. I would imagine that she'd bring me a packet of sweets. Bitter sweet childhood memories. I'll stop here because I'm choking up now. Thank you again to these legends.

50 year friendship. Zulu brothers until the earthly end. Johnny has ascended into the Universe singing and dancing to and with his freedom family. Look up he's there.♥️♥️♥️

I keep doing this. I watch a video of Johnny and say I won't get tears in my eyes, but it never works. This time, watching Johnny dance with Mandisa did it. The river is flowing. If Dudu and Bongani were there, it would have been complete, but they were taken from us WAY too soon.
Now Johnny is singing and dancing with them again. Madiba is smiling, clapping, and urging them to "Repeat! Repeat!"

On point The real O'Donnovan! You are right! I like especially south African music, I like how Johnny and his group danced with force and the very noble gestures. Ooh how much I cried when I knew Johnny's death, his humanity, kindness, humility, oh no noooo Johnny😢

“A fan video” ?! Wow. You have great and professional video production skills. I’ve been mesmerized watching over and over. I am a new Juluka fan having heard “The Cow Bellowed” play as the credits rolled of a documentary I watched in March of this year, 2020. It took a few weeks to track down the duo and song, which led me next to this video. I’ve figured out the chords to Woza Friday this week and just found the lyrics with translation today, Father’s Day in America. I am a white man living in Minneapolis, Minnesota after the murder of George Floyd in the age of Covid. At this moment of history in particular in my city of birth, finding Sipho and Johnny, learning just some of their brotherhood, reverence, respect, and love for each other, humankind, and their music has been of great comfort and provides much hope. Thank you so much for this gift, this is a treasure. I just pray I don’t butcher my Zulu pronunciation as I learn Juluka songs. Peace and love, blessings and health from Strummer Cash in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA.

@Ruth Anne Baumgartner, ya GOTS ta love Mandisa looking at Johnny onstage like he's her mischievous child, and his look back at her, like he can't wait to get into some trouble. I bet the two of them were hilarious together, offstage.

The Real O'Donovan. Perfect description. Though I, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA am a new fan, I cry joyful tears watching them dance. It uplifts me and gives me hope in the crazy Trump/Covid America.

Marguerite de Villiers ugh. First, thank you so so much for your reply and interest. Next: More info. than you could need. I was to be in New Mexico this weekend for medicine plant ceremonies but in the two weeks since booking travel my country and COVID have literally gone south and-caring for an 85 year-old home-bound mother-flight seemed unsafe at this time. I’d dedicated the video of Woza Friday to my NM plant family, inadvertently but indiscreetly naming our facilitators. I was advised to delete the post immediately and of course did. I will make a “Grandmother-Approved” video/version that will-hopefully- be better. The former was not ready for prime time, but time-sensitive in sending.

Sipho Mchunu is a legend in his own right 🙌🏿 Most of the comments on this video came in after Johnny Clegg's death. I think the intention was to honour Clegg after his passing - not to diminish Mchunu's presence in the song.
