When I was a little girl in the 1950s, we travelled to Australia as £10 poms and settled in Perth. Sometimes, we used to go out towards the airport and I remember it as just being surrounded by a wire fence and all you would get really were the flying doctors coming in and the cattle farmers, coming to town for supplies I guess. Such fond memories but back in the United Kingdom now, not by my own choice. I was only nine when we came back. X Australia is a beautiful country and my daughter did her gap year there travelling all around Australia by car beginning and ending in Perth.
I enjoyed that - thanks. I used to fly Barons out of Perth in 1970/71 doing crew changes for exploratory drilling rigs located at many of the destinations you now service. Perth runway 03/21 was 02/20 back then and Hedland was a primary airport.
I love this video as its my town and used to fly (Passanger) E190s and a320s out to the mines in the pilbara and gold fields. Its always been a dream of mine to do this especially in a dash 8.
This was awesome to watch, the professionalism was second to none and the views of the cockpit and scenery was great...looking forward to the next video
Enjoyed that, good to see posts from Perth regional flights, would like to see the start-up and more of the approaches. A 03 departure would pass over my house 👍.
That was a nice video, nice to see the Australian landscape, and at the end of the flight, saw my old airplane sitting on the ramp, too bad the flight couldn't have been on QQE, I used to help maintain it back in Canada
Great stuff, see them coming in to land from Lilac Hill in Guildford, think they had a refresh to the corporate identity a few years ago, is the last Dash 8 - 100 staying in the fleet?
I think every miner and exploration geologist should have to fly up to site via pontoon versions of DHC Beaver (SCARRY AS F*CK) Otter(not scarry) Twin Otter (Kind of luxurious ...we had a flight attendant serve us fun size box of smarties and a plastic cup of boxed wine classy)
Hamersley iron was a big mining operation in the 1960s A friend of mine worked At tom.price as a mechanic Made quite a mint as no where To spend the wages

Beautiful landscape. Having lived in Perth for a few years I miss the outback colours and serenity.
Nice video. We're glad to see you're supporting our Australian airliners.
I love seeing more of this Aussie content, I fly Cessnas in QLD, and work in the mines as a fitter

Omg, I also used to fly Barons out of Perth during that time! We probably met!
Maroomba was the best company I ever flew for. Great video.

I use to work there at Windy, Mt Jackson and Koolyanobbing back in 2012 awesome site…loved the video.
Great fly. Great plane.. I flew ATR, but Dash has much more power than ATR. Congratulations, Captains!
❤
And the Dash 8s don’t have as many mechanical problems.
Love the dash 8
I enjoyed working for Maroomba as an engineer back in the late 70s early 80s an enjoyable company to work. J.M
Flew in and out of Musgraves near NT/WA boarder. Earplugs and no dunny was always a challenge flying in lol
Thank you JP ❤😊

Paused for a sec at 08:58, That climb raito! Know about it but to see it like this! Awesome! First time here. Won't be my last. Cheers! Brushy.
I'm too old to fly now, but I love to stick a camera in the cockpit and watch the young people enjoy what is a great pastime
Great shot of the city.
We hardly ever get landing on 06 at Perth. Quite special to get it when the cameras were on!
Looks like a great job!😊
WA represent!
Nice landing, great aircraft.
I’ve flown in and out of Windarling a couple of times. That is some magnificent country in the Yilgarn. Great vid!

Good landing 🛬
finally we get some recognition here in western australia
Quite a nice view of that mine in Windarling. Emerald water at the bottom of an inverted pyramid of red clay or so it would seem.🐬
Fabulous 👍
Nice to see a local video!
Nice yoke work.
Absolutely amazing video! Fantastic footage and sounds! The Dash 8-Q300 is an amazing turboprop!
Correction the aircraft type is Dash8-300

Do you guys know what date this was captured on?
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Why did pilot in right seat touch the controls after landing?
Standard procedure on the Dash for the FO to engage the gust lock below 60 knots
