  • Welcome to BBoytechreport's youtube channel. I am BBoyTech. I post news, reviews, and interviews at www.bboytechrep.... The intersection where hip-hop and technology live. Be sure to like share and subscribe as a show of support.
I also run and operate Beatppl.com the home to all of my sound design releases, t-shirts and music releases of my self, my squad, and my beat-making community. If you'd like to support what we do here go to www.beatppl.com and buy sample packs, T-shirts, and music. I will repay you with dope content on this channel.
I have also created the term MODBAP to identify the type of music that I create which is a fusion of modular synthesis and boom-bap / hip-hop style production. Together with my brethren, we've turned this MODBAP thing into a movement with the intention of adding onto the culture of hip-hop through technology and dope music.
On this channel, I also host and produce the BeatPPL Podcast, a panel discussion live-streaming show where my squad and I discuss music tech from a fresh nerdy hip-hop perspective. BeatPPL Podcast guests have ranged from Glen Darcy (MPC 5000, Drumbrutes, Matrixbrute, Hydra Synth) to Roger Linn (MPC, Linndrum, Linnstrument, and Tempest) and there is so much more to come.
The Bboytechreport youtube channel is also home to shows like "Bboytech Modular Journal", "Bboytech Artist interview Series", "Modbap Live Sessions" and a host of live performances and modbap and/or modular sessions.
So with all of that said. go ahead and like, share and subscribe as a show of support for my brand of no-frills dope content. And again, welcome to Bboytechreport.
    Cheers
    Bboytech

Appreciate what you're doing. I don't know how much bom bap technique differentiate from other hip hop style techniques but why not include other styles of hiphop? and just call it a fusion between hiphop and modular techniques.

Jimmy Askenstrom well I say boombap because that’s what I’m about but I think I immediately said there “and not just boombap but any” style or something. So yeah I agree I was just too lazy to reshoot that not lol

One of the dopest channels around. Been watching the podcast for a while and with guests like Buscrates and Roger Linn it's getting better and better. Btw it would be really dope if you start uploading it to Apple Podcasts again.

Love this channel. I'm being selfish but I hope you come back to other podcasts platforms. I've been replaying old episodes and learn something new every time I listen. Bboytech has been a great source of knowledge for getting back into music and has saved me $ on unnecessary equipment. Wish you had bigger Hoodie sizes tho

Yo! Just a quick question, do you recommened KRK Rokit 5 G4s or Yamaha HS5s for mixing/mastering studio monitors? I saw you have an old video recommending HS5s with a sub but in this video, I see you using the new Gen KRK's in the background. I have heard they are much flatter than previous generations and have much more clarity now, not muddy anymore. Is this true and if it is, would you say the Rokit 5 G4s are better than the Yahama HS5s? Would highly appreciate some help here :)
