4 Simple Rules to Help Your Phone's Battery Last Longer
• Don’t keep the charger plugged in if the phone is already fully charged.
Sounds obvious, doesn’t it? But just think back for a second. How many times have you picked up your charging phone only to discover that it’s already 100% charged (and has been so for quite some time)? Such overvoltage is very, very bad for the battery.
• Your phone doesn’t need to recharge 100%.
Your phone’s battery doesn’t need to stay charged 100%. Keeping it at full capacity is actually very damaging. It’s better to always maintain a small empty gap at the high end of the charge bar. Don’t leave your phone plugged in for too long - just try to give it 10-15 minutes’ feeding time.
• Use every occasion to charge your phone.
This rule is closely connected with the previous one. Whenever you’re playing games or typing a text, be sure to plug the phone’s charger into the socket. Don’t wait for your electronic friend to start signaling you that it’s starving!
• Avoid overheating.
Batteries are extremely sensitive to heat. For instance, Apple especially recommends that their customers remove the case while charging the phone. If, after charging, your gadget becomes hot, try charging it without the case. On the other hand, if you are in a sunny location, leave the case on to protect the device from sunlight.

The idea to go to flight mode when playing games to get rid of pop-up ads was not not very clever. Instead, disable data traffic. You will not get the ads but SMS messages and phone calls will still get through.

You shouldn't charge your phone while using it (playing games). It damages the battery.
Yes, and it's actually *not* damaging at all to overcharge your phone. Modern phone batteries are equipped with chips that prevent them from charging any more than they need to be. "Over charging" is literally NOT POSSIBLE and does NOTHING to harm the phone, these instructions in this video are completely backwards. Charge your phone to 100% as much as possible, lithium ion batteries LOVE charge and it actually IMPROVES their longevity. What you should NOT do is use your phone while charging it, as that can damage your battery!!! It should also be noted that it's best to keep your battery as close to 100% as possible whenever possible, running your battery down to 0 and then charging it straight up to 100 *can* shorten the lifespan of a lithium ion battery.

wicked riddler That was only with older types of batteries. The only concerns with playing games or doing other things with the phone is the potential of your battery to overheat or to take longer to charge. The overheating will only occur of you're using an app that is already making your phone work hard, in which case generally means it uses up your battery fast when not charging...not good to do anyways.
What's damaging is putting stress on the battery. So using it while it's charging or charging it for long periods of time are both bad.

For 13, just go into the iOS Compass app and swipe to the right. It has a built-in level. With 12, it is NOT safe for the battery on your iPhone. The phone batteries are only designed to take a certain amount of volts and amps. 5 volts, 1 amp to be exact. (With the exception of the iPhone 8, 8 plus, and X. Using a higher amperage will put a strain on your battery’s built-in circuitry and will eventually lead to lower battery life in the long run. Turning on airplane mode (number 10) also means you won’t be able to use any multiplayer features on that game. Quick calling isn’t an Android-only feature. on iOS, you can add a widget into the widgets center and add VIP contacts for calling or texting with one tap.
The lithium ion battery’s have little affect to being plugged in all night. It isn’t noticeable because by the time it goes bad you already have a new phone, and they’re easy enough to replace.
