Yes, it was a real verse. It was originally recorded that way. Tbh, listening to it like this he probably realized it doesn't mesh well with the album or transition fluently like it does now. He probably decided not to go that route to keep the artistic point of the album being able to be played both ways which ultimately lead him to change the lyrics, and that's how we got "Element".
He basically records a lot of shit then Frankenstein them together to make other tracks. So originally this was for paramedic but he repurposed the stuff that was mixed for DAMN. and the beat and hook is for black panther album. Wish we could get this version fully Mixed
