this is doing crazy numbers for some reason... here is the rest of the album!!! please enjoy it!!!!!! open.spotify.com/album/7A6esGBuzPzOQoCv98DcrV?si=M0Gdh-9KRB2-NRqIGifBXw
This compression reminded me of this experiment that someone did with AI where they changed a small bit of the code to a negative and it looked like the AI was "forgetting" bits and pieces of the same image. Ironically, I can't remember if it was related to Alzheimer's. Cool effect though.
thank you for watching!!!! i used no AI, instead i forced a heavy grain through 480p youtube compression to convey feelings of grief (funnily enough very similar to Alzheimer's)
many overlapping layers, the top layer having a colour burn blend on it. bottom layer has a heavy grain, and the middle layer has a colour shift. for the spotlight, i think I used a layer with a white circle that I set to divide. i exported at 480p from a 4k video and the compression adds a lot of the movement from the grain, and then UA-cam's bitrate crushes it further

The visuals are really good and the sound is a bit haunting paired with it but it still feels pretty comforting. thank you algorithm :D
