Endless Ocean: The Abyss

- Today I'm heading down to the Abyss at night to see some freaky stuff. This is one of the larger areas vertically and its easy to get lost when theres little sense of where you are in the darkness. At the bottom is a whale graveyard where you can find some interesting sharks.
part of the reason i got this game is (don't laugh) because i'm too scared to scuba dive, yet marine life fascinates me and i absolutely love swimming. i could do something like the lagoon or blue holes in real life, but if the water isn't clear and i can't see the bottom i'd have a heart attack. so thanks for uploading this! i might actually go in the abyss now.
Wow! This was the first time I saw any Endless Ocean footage. After seeing this I really want to get this game! Oh, and to the maker of this video: I thought you had a really good commentary as you were on the dive. It was simple, informative, and I plan on watching more of your E.O. vids! Thanks dude. i really enjoyed it.

I was too! Its a freaky place, disorienting and with some powerful music that shakes you up when it hits hard!
I loved this game for its music a lot. Even though some sounded sad, the melody made me want to sing (sometimes hum) in tune of it. Its so dark in the abyss but it wasn't hard to find the sperm whale.
yup thats what i found it is scaring me with the music and also its leading me into the Crysta cave also when i found the bluntnose it made my heart beat faster lol 9:06 your drawing looks like a smiley face xD P.S. I found the megamouth in the summer/fall in the mornin
I was REALLY scared when I found out that the Frilled Shark follows you around, fish can stalk you, you should try it, it is VERY weird. I plan on taking my partner Jewel to the Abyss, it is a orca. I know how to unlock it. I gave the six gill shark a nickname, I call it "Mr. Attittude" because when you touch it, it thrusts itself at you. I took a picture of the Giant Squid, and the picture ppl hated it. It is very rare for me to go down to the Abyss. Nice vid.
I took Jewel down to the Abyss yesterday. I ran into the sperm whale down there. I was being stalked by a frilled shark and a few other animals. Jewel found some animals too. I FINALLY found that darn common fangtooth. It seems that if you dive with your partner, you find things that you couldn't before. Jewel is a orca. It is very rare for me to go to the Abyss. If I do, I go at night. ^_^
This is soooooooo much more relaxing than EO2
First time I went down to the abyss I was just going through the whale skeleton and I turned my light slightly and...BAM. Goblin shark face right there. Scared the crap outta me.
Can't argue with that jigglygoober. I went down there once and I ran into it as I was diving deeper. but, when I was going back up to deep valley... I saw it AGAIN. I spent some time with it and went back up again. Soon after I was at deep vally, I thought the Giant Squid was stalking me. O_o

Hey its my dream too! The thing is when i scuba dive nothing wants to hurt you. I've swam with sharks and that but they look scary yea(thank you Jaws1-3) but sharks just want to look at you. They are no so bad. They are amazing creatures. Good luck on your Dream.
I FREAK out in the abyss... Especially at night, but I always have to stay near the wall because if I don't see anything at all I totally flip!!
Haha. You know, the first time I ever played this game, the music default for the area was Benedictus. Right when I got to the cave where the shark was, it got to the really loud and explosive part. Scared me halfway to Tokyo.
You find it weird, I find it cool that the fish follow you.
I'm getting Endless Ocean for my Birthday, or for Chrismas. :)
I honestly have no idea how this video has gotten so many views. I think it got pretty popular and then its just kind of snowballed from there. Nearly 16 thousand? Ridiculous, but much appreciated.
i saw this freaky lookin fish go into a hole in there. it was so big, i actually screamed

I have this game but it really scares me because i don't like underwater (i can cope with pools on holiday lol) and i'm sitting here like "OMG!!!!!!! He is gonna dieeee! ARGHHHH!" it scares me that much haha.

If you poke some sharks enough they will snap at you but thats it. I don't think any of the animals in this game can hurt you.
No problem. Its kind of a random way to get an animal to like you!
The game says you have to use a "special" mixture to go down to the abyss but its still unrealistic. In order to get down to the depths where some of these animals actually live you'd straight up die from the pressure I think. There doesn't seem to be a time limit with the air, at least I've never run into it.
I seriously doubt a person would survive the pressure.

The ocean and its ecosystem has always been an interest of mine, having being born in Washington visiting the beach occasionally. Anyways, I've been considering buying one of these Endless Ocean games, and watched a couple of your videos out of curiosity. Which one would you recommend?
If you're talking about the coelecanth (big fish) I think you just have to go at night, but if thats not working, I'm not sure.

I just found out that the abyss is going to be in Endless Ocean 2!!
You will see more that just the giant squid and the sperm whale swimming along side each other... You will see the sperm whale and the giant squid duke it out for survival! When you see it, you may not forget it, when you get Endless ocean 2. :D
I think you just need the experimental diving mixture. Sadly I don't remember how to get it. Follow your partners hints to progress through the story and see all the areas.

When I poked the big sevengill shark or whatever it was and it almost bit me, that was freaky too! The sperm whale is weird. In a game where almost everything is swimming horizontally, its moving vertically. Just kind of odd to see.

Theres a giant squid in the Abyss but I wouldn't say its enormous.
@Lolo237237 Thats a wonderful reason to play this game. SCUBA can be very intimidating. Try snorkeling in the bahamas sometime if you get the chance, its usually a lot clearer there.

80 or 100 feet? Something like that. Its just right above the entrance to the abyss.

I used to live by the ocean and I can tell you the scariest thing aboute it is a dolphin (whale, porpus ect.) pod with a little one just use your head and you'll be fine
id imagin how scred i would be if i was down there i would be looking behind me all the time im not a fan of the water and im not the fan of dark underwater places either lol XD

I saw the Praya Dubia in the abyss I think but only once and I don't remember under what conditions or where.

The Stalker Ship has claimed it's next victim, it seems.
I'm one of the victims it has claimed. Whenever I go to the great drop off... The Stalker Ship is at E-5! It scares the crap out of me every time. After I see it... I hitch a ride on one of the whales that can be found there. XD
I found 6-gill sharks but i couldn't get the name to replace the ??? at the bottom of the screen.

I hated this level. I said oh crap!!! he is going to die!!!! my cat went into the room and she was a horrible guide! lol!

not much actually. i think all you have to get is one thing. i could go down there after only about 3 hours of playing, but i havent played in a while. i havent even found the sunken ghost ship yet...

If you live in the USA (like i do) you might want to go to the one in Maine!!!!! even if you live in California or something ( i live in Ohio) its shorter and its in Cape Cod maine!!!!!

there is 1 fish in the first game that was harder to get to know
in the ship reck part if u been there, the plane crash site, there are 2 well hidden fish , u cant find them anywhere else
I have to take my bottlenose dolphin down to the abyss so I can find out about the anchint mother. I don`t have a rissco`s dolphin at all. My bottlenose dolphin will probaly die of high pressure.
@coldsteel94 beaulicorne basically answered it. The game sorta has pressure. Kinda. Not exactly realistic in its depiction.

yep! i have some advise that may help. just swim down. you may see some bones. igonre it. just go till ya hit the floor and go inside a cave.
