2:50 In fact, the main payment method of this smart terminal introduced here is the brush-face payment(刷脸支付). The several payment methods you introduced are only alternatives. You can pay by using Alipay brush face, without any other mobile phones or wallets. And if you want to buy easycard, you can buy electronic virtual cards on your mobile phone instead of paper ones , because the paper version is not portable and can only be recharged in larger denomination. Electronic virtual cards can be recharged in small denomination at any time through electronic payment, but your mobile phone need to support NFC functions. Of course, If you have a Wechat account, it will be more convenient. you can use Wechat to sweep the code without NFC. By the way, all payment methods except cash payment are discounted.
@@the-troublemaker u r a stupid idiot! take 0.5hour and make a bank card at Bank of China。Bind this card to WeChat, then live without cash, you can brush the QR code wherever you go.
Jennifer Pearson Beijing , my hometown, even not on top 10 in China last year. There are at least other 30 very attractive cities in China. Check it out please!
The gray zone is a reserved area for another function man, the characters on it means "Coming soon". However it is another useful video as usual haha, your videos had definitely saved significant time for me since I don't need to explain much to my foreign friends anymore.
The speed of growth of this system in particular is insane. Of course East Asia in general develops quickly, but Shenzhen is even crazier. This is probably due to China not having to deal with NIMBY's, and their crazy technology they use to speed build these things. By 2030 Shenzhen metro will have 32 lines, more than tripling its current number of lines.
I find your videos to be very informative. Great job! I agree with you 100%. I love the Chinese metro system. I appreciate the effort that they take to keep the stations and trains safe and secure. When I first came to China it was a little overwhelming. Overall it felt good knowing you are safe. You're right! Too bad it isn't like that in the States.
Actually u can download the APP and open it to make a set to link to your Alipay or other online pay. U can show the QR code of APP and scan the entrance machine to take the subway and when u get off the train, u just open the APP and show the QR code to scan the exit machine, the fee will be deducted automatically . U don't need to buy any ticket just use your phone to take the subway.
Not only in Shenzhen. Most of the capital cities of the 34 provinces have built their metro systems. Some provinces have more than one city do that. Since most of these metros were built in the past 10 years, they are all clean and modern like this.
well you need to download vpn such as nordvpn, expressvpn etc as the western social media is blocked here and vpn is a must if you want to access to them.
You can also pay with unionpay quick pass bank card on the subway (just like using the subway card) and you can use it on the bus too. I love the shenzhen subway too, definitely think that China has one of the best transportation systems in the world. Cool video...
If you can get a UnionPay card, whatever credit or debit, you can use the gate with red ad on the ground, directly pay with the card, don't need to prepay or buy any card or ticket.
what????excuse me ? 😂😂 I never see any word saying "Buddhism" hahahaha. what it says is actually something like "enjoy the life space in the metro " that sort of thing
Nice video. I don't quite understand why good people should worry about cameras in public place. Why should the operator behind keep watching you if you are not guilty? It just records any criminal behavior, keeps evidence so you can be very safe in those areas. If someone pick-pocket you, I don't really think he can easily walk out of the station.
Mass 23g the western media distorted that about China just for mean . Taiwan province also got camera everywhere. But the western media never reported it
The card is 50 rmb for just itself which is not cheap(cost 100 but only 50 balance). It's basiclly for locals who don't know how to use a phone. Also it will only works in Shenzhen. Better way to do this is just use alipay or wechat. No tickets/card needed. Just search subway in Alipay.
If you have Alipay/WeChat Pay : Hotels, restaurants, supermarkets, various shops, various transportation, various tickets, street food, hospitals, telephone bills, bank transfers, water bills, electricity bills, shared bicycles, order takeout,..... Almost support all the places that need to spend money, including small towns
Does San Diego has a subway system? My impression is that only New York has a "real" public transportation system. Other cities have under funded systems only inner city poor people use. I could be wrong.
Do you mostly use cash there in china or do you use Alipay? I would like to use Alipay, seems easier but I’m from usa and don’t have a chinese bank account.
I actually never see a metro station this empty in Shenzhen. Security check won’t be that great if you have to line up for 30 minutes every morning to pass the checkpoint. Thank for showing the good side of Shenzhen though.
I totally agreed with you. I also took Shenzhen Metro last time i went back to China. Shenzhen Metro is so clean and convenient.
Thanks For Coming In Shenzhen Metro! I Really Appreciate It!
Awesome!! Thanks for this. Priceless and will be there in October.
glad u like my city, u r always welcome here.
Thank you!
Shenzhen metro is really fascinating...
And better than Hong Kong MTR

Is it applicable for foreign nationals too?
2:47 Actually the right bottom one means "coming soon". So that is the reason there is no response when you choose it.
When you were at the vending machine, you can actually pay by Alipay by just scanning your face

Can foreigner tourists use Alipay? I'm finding it hard to register without a Chinese bank account. Can you link it to a Visa card? Thanks
Not unless you have a visa in China for work or as a student. As tourist, you cannot.
What app do you use to get around? Most of the apps like Baidu for eg are in Chinese
Which app do you use to navigate the metro stations?
