Omg I thought I was the only one that could see other peeps using filter! How are WE the viewers suppose to see whether or not the products work if the filter is on 😂😂🎉 soph and steph always keeps it real xx
For oily skin I do a layer of setting spray as a primer under all makeup and then a coat as normal on top. Works like a charm to keep theoiliness at bay
use it before!!! i saw robert welsh say that!! usually our oils are what ruins our makeup, and they come from beneath it, so the setting pray acts like a barrier if you do it before!! but after too obviously helps transfer and stuff
Thx for your honest makeup videos! Really helpful for a slight beginner 😅❤ I feel like I’m getting real advice not just constantly being pushed towards products
I'm not the type of person to be super hype about people not using beauty filters in their videos because that should be the norm, but this video made me realize how much it actually matters for influencers to be honest when their videos are specifically about makeup. Seeing your face with makeup after a day of doing stuff with your natural skin texture and "flaws" in your makeup is a great relief for me. My makeup looks like that at the end of school and I always feel horrible for not having a flawless base makeup with all the cracking and shifting concealer. Also seeing that you also have normal texture to your skin is so important for me because I tend to forget that having perfectly smooth skin is not possible for most. Pores and lines exist and its not worth it to obsess over them
I use the elf settting spray you talked about in one of your video's. It changed my make-up game! I am the only one in my friend group, who looks as good at the end of a party as when I walked in 😂 I live you tips and could always use more tips ❤❤❤ can't live my make-up life without you! 😘
Lol thank you, Soph. This is the kind of video I needed all of my life because I’ve never quite believed in setting spray either 😂 Time to actually use my setting sprays!
What kind of setting spray do you use that makes your makeup not transfer?! I have tried many setting sprays powders and high end foundations and in the end my makeup always transfers even if it says its transfer proof
I like setting spray to kind of melt everything together if I'm looking a little overdone or powdery, but I find the way I get more longevity from my makeup is when I use it underneath almost like a primer. This probably isn't a revelation, just thought I'd share in case it helps anyone. 😊
My favorite thing about setting spray is i feel like it helps dial down the cakiness of my makeup. Most of the time when i use it it will completely change the texture of my make up making it sit better.
@@BreMue if there isn't a difference I must be crazy lol because I swear without it I look a hot mess but after some spray and a little patting from my beauty blender I feel untouchable 😂
I used to think that too, I thought it just helped my makeup not look too powdery or chalky but I feel it does work and I think it depends on which setting spray you buy as well. Thank you for sharing with us I like these videos where you show us if these products really work! :-)
Soph has done lots of tests on new setting sprays where she puts a swatch of dark eyeshadow on her wrist and sprays it, lets it dry, and then rubs it to high hell to see if it smears
do you have any good setting spray recommendations? especially as a competitive dancer and i do musical theater my makeup always comes off so i neeed help!
This was definitely helpful, thanks a bunch! Do you touch up at all throughout the day or are these results without any blotting or touching up? It is currently hot as heck where I live & I often wonder if it’s best for me to pat my face dry when I sweat or just kind of let everything dry back down without messing with it. Sounds so gross but that’s the reality of having > 100° F temps 😂
I know I'm not Soph, but I think I can answer in her place 🤫 She usually touches up during the day both with powder and/or "blotting" with her hands - BUT: When she tests new products, she doesn't - so I'm pretty sure she didn't touch up in this video. I hope this helps!!
Usually what I like to do is I do my base and I put setting pray of my face and then I use powder on the setting spray but I don't use powder all over my face though.
I know that most people wouldn't even notice but the when you said "boys and girls and everyone else" I wanted to cry happy tears because it literally takes THAT little effort to include everyone and yet so few people do it, and I felt like, yes, this is a place for me (I am nonbinary) and this is a place where I can feel safe, putting paint on my face. Thank you so much, Soph, for making us all feel welcome
One of the things i motice is it transfers a lot less woth setting spray, so like when i lay on my boyfriend's shoulder i dont leave a face imprint behind lol
It does work doesn't it, only not as well as you'd think. I'm the same - oily skin and especially oily eyelids. Can only rely on urban decay all nighter or Skindanavia
Pronounced Smile lines are one of the annoying things about makeup, mine aren't even deep, but makeup cracking will make it seem worse and primer hasnt fixed that. I got the setting Spray to keep makeup up on my face longer but then i randomly noticed the smile lines thing wasn't happening.... I was sold lol. However i think it's due to a good setting Spray, cos i didn't notice it with a cheaper setting Spray, I'm going to test and actually look for effect on smile lines for both mine. (UD all nighter and nyx matte)
HOW DO YOU NOT USE SETTING SPRAY dude i use the same setting spray and it doesnt do anything charlotte tilbury and urban decay both dont work so as charlotte tibury pressed powder. like i want to have makeup that lasts like the video 😭
Lol science has left the chat. Oil is literally how your skin naturally moisturises itself. That's why when you have dry skin you need a more intense moisturiser. Maybe think for a second before you post silly shit
Thank you for not using a crazy filter and allowing us to really see the results! And your skin looks fantastic!
It’s crazy that this is something extraordinary and worth mentioning now…😭

I’ve heard of people doing this but didn’t know it’d help even more for oily skin. Imma try this!!!! Thank you!!! ❤
Im sorry whaaat, trying that tomorrow! Thanks!
What setting spray do you like??
Do you also use primer? If so, do you put it on before setting spray? Or do you use the setting spray as a primer?
Very smart
use it before!!! i saw robert welsh say that!! usually our oils are what ruins our makeup, and they come from beneath it, so the setting pray acts like a barrier if you do it before!! but after too obviously helps transfer and stuff

Very useful thank you!

Right! I've been looking for one to just "melt" my face into my skin, because I swear there is a different texture !

Yeah but does the makeup transfer with setting spray? Btw, those lashes are looking amazing!
Soph has done lots of tests on new setting sprays where she puts a swatch of dark eyeshadow on her wrist and sprays it, lets it dry, and then rubs it to high hell to see if it smears
some of them do, some of them don’t, the urban decay one that I used in this stops it from transferring though!!❤
Try the One Size setting spray ❤
What mascara did you use in this look? :) it's gorgeous!

Wow! The results are amazing!
Did you use a matte spray? I don’t know much but I wonder if it would help with the oiliness you pointed out

I like it more for just making the powder products look more melted into my skin. Idk if that makes sense

A video that REALLY reveals the truth 😮😊
I quit using it personally because it does not work with my moisturizers, and it causes breakouts in some areas and dryness in others!
The way she says "nose" 😍
What blush stays so long? 😮
Press in with sponge after spraying

It’s disturbing how the oily skin look is now called a glow or moisture……
