The way that you explain things is so clear and to the point. Thank you. Which colour corrector are you using in this video? I have fair skin and so I’m looking for a pink tone. Is there a brand that you recommend? Thanks!!
Omg Im so glad it was helpful for you! I’m using huda beauty, the shade pink pomelo is perfect for fair skin. Elf also has some more affordable ones! ❤
Hello! Huda beauty and Natasha denona have nice color correctors but a great affordable color corrector is the elf cc corrector in the shade peach! It’s thin and really pigmented so it blends well and sits well under concealer
@@Uhohlisashe didn’t explicitly say huda was the brand of corrector SHE was using. She only mentioned their correcting guide. Easy for someone to miss.
No, that’s just how they look…mine look just like that y’all hating like my face isn’t natural. We are the same shade and the same race and we get purple under eyes like that…Some people just have pigmentation under our eyes that pigmented. That’s how genetics and God made us.
I’m so glad HUDA released these! I’m super fair and always struggled to find a color corrector that wasn’t too rich for my skin because most of them are made in only one tone 😅 my under eyes are the bane of my existence and concealer always struggles to correct my under eye circles
I use a green color corrector under my eyes! My eye bags are reddish so it helps out A LOT. I also put it around my mouth and sides of my nose, where there's redness.
Everyone has different aesthethic views! But I’d suggest that you use a orange eye shadow under your eye and blend it like that. So you won’t waste your products! (Btw you may want to use a VERY FLUFFY eyeshadow brush)
If you seriously very dark under and are fair you will need the orange corrector regardless. And it will look dark. Then you will have to layer a thick pale consealer over top of it. It wont look natural. It will look thick, but it will actually get results.
I am like white white I can’t even use the pinkish ones because they are always to dark.. and you know on pale skin we have thin skin and you see the veins and so so we rly need it but it’s always to dark the only one that worked was the pink camouflage in the Mac nc nw 10 palette but they are out in Germany and the Huda one is too dark :( even the Mac concealer nc 15 is to dark n beige for me Beige is the worst on my skin
Exactly! Robert Welsh has been saying this for the longest, I’d always die a little every time a UA-camr would put so much colour corrector under their eyes or all over their face
I don't know if it's because it's on camera but the orange actually looks better to me in my opinion but it could be because it's on camera cuz real life and camera sometimes it's different
Before getting colour corrector get good sleep. Then the purple undereye will correct itself. 😅 Just try this for few days. Apply nivea creme to the undereyes before u sleep n u will save a lotta bucks on makeup.
I did not realize that people actually slather on CC like concealer under their eyes… you just put it on the spots you’re trying to neutralize. I can see why it would be frustrating to have an orange under eye.
Don't forget that your skin tone matters too. I'm very pale but very warm/yellow, and I need a salmon color (more orange than pink) to color correct under my eye.
I remember when influencers first found out about color corrector and were slathering their faces in it then trying to cover it with concealer and their whole face just looked orange 😭
I have a few visible veins under my eyes and it really pisses me off, I guess it makes me look tired. I think that’s because of my skin is really thin under eyes. Even if I sleep for 12 hours, it’s still here. I used to cover it with concealer, but now I don’t really care and rarely wear makeup
Almost! I suggest choosing a colour based on the depth of the BLEMISH first rather than skin tone. The darker or deeper the blemish, the warmer the corrector you use. Only place directly over the blemish and LET IT SET before blending. Once set, pat gently (pad of finger is best) to distribute pigment. DON'T OVER BLEND. If this is under your eyes, use as little product as possible to avoid wrinkling. Sincerely, a girlie that looks like a ghoul fo real
I have the right shade but I still struggle with the right amount Sometimes it doesn't even look like I used a color corrector & my eyes look asky grey And sometime I have an orange eye💀
@@acelovesdiyschristopher7023for purple, ypu want something with yellow or warm undertones. The way color correcting works, is whatever color you're trying to cover up or correct, use the opposite color shade from the color wheel. So purple and yellow are across from each other. Green is compliemntary, or across from red, on the color wheel. You wouldn't use a pure yellow because the dark circles probably aren't pure purple. But does that make sense?
Trust me, it only looks good in good lighting lol this week i only saw the color was off in the elevator, didnt seem that different in the bathroom, outside it looked patchy
Also according to the colour wheel, for purple under eyes you can use yellow because yellow cancels purple, I do this and I find it works better as I’m very pale and have a cool undertone. Have fun everyone!
I was glad someone said this! peaches, reds and oranges are only going to cancel out those bluer/greener tones! If your under eyes are purple you will not get the same/full effect without using a yellow color corrector! Or if you find color correcting too heavy for your under eyes try to find a concealer that is one shade lighter (if you want that bright look) and the undertone that cancels out the pigment under the eyes!
@@goeticfolkloreYes according to google, pink and red are good colour correctors for brown under eyes however according to colour theory seeing as brown as a dark orange I would try blue as they’re opposites and should neutralise each other, hope this helps !
Honestly the colour hugely depends on your undertones too. I personally use a pastel yellow colour corrector because that's the only one that actually corrects my really dark circles. Best way to check what works for you is to look at the shade of your dark circles on a colour wheel and then choose a concealer opposite of that.
If you have purple dark circles, you should use yellow for your color corrector. If you have blue dark circles, you should use orange. If you have green dark circles, you should use the pink/peach. If you have gray dark circles, you should use the color of your skin but with more saturation. I swear color theory will work for every skin tone and undertone. I hope this helps 🖤
Ok,what to use with dark brown nearly black circles? I damn near look like a zombie without makeup (I'm black, by the way, same complexion (at least for the summer) as the last woman in the picture.
@@m.c.3640I think like bright red lipstick. My aunt was a makeup artist and that’s what I remember her saying but I’m not positive. Try looking up color correction on dark skin tutorials.
@@m.c.3640it all depends on your undertones too. If you have warm undertones like red or browns or oranges, and your under eyes look blueish black, perhaps try a red or red orange color corrector? If you have darker skin with cooler purple and blueish undertones then neutralize overly warm tones with blues/ purples or maybe play around with purple-reds under eyes. Some also say dark oranges for under eye. Key also is just a little dab under eyes rather than a whole lot so it doesn’t orange your whole cheeks but just the spots. Hope that helps.
Looks terrible on sunlight, it looks like a patch of a different shade in your face, happened to me this week lmao i was looking normal in the bathroom liht

Maybe I'm crazy for this but I think the warm undereye still looks amazing on you
I honestly thought that just the light color corrector was perfect without the concealer. It looked good!

Bobbi brown skin correctors are the ultimate og if you haven’t tried those. Been around forever and same concept , more shades

I think it depends on the colour of your dark circles, not so much your skin colour.

Fair to medium.

The orange looks pretty tho.
but you look so cute with orange under eyes...
Wait a minute.. did you apply purple color under your eye to demonstrate skin discoloration?
ok but where is that necklace from?? 😍
You choose your colour corrector Ccording to your blueness/ darkness, rather than sking colour.
What's the difference between colour corrector and concealer?
in my opinion you have to use yellow to cancel out purple??
Your lips slayyyy
We’re reverting to 2010 makeup looks? My time has come! (Seriously tho this is how i was taught to apply makeup as a child, around 2011)
Or get the green, pink, purple and yellow pallet and use opposite shades like a normal person?
except those don’t match basically anyone’s skin

What about fair neutral with purple dark circles
