This will be fun! As an Asian. I've found the Europe made Nike stuff to be softer out of the box. But the fit to be more narrow than my made in Vietnam/China ones.
Love videos like this. Great investigation here, this is the kind of stuff people need to know more about. Hats off to the person who first spotted it!
One more thing when i used vapor 13 made in China I couldn’t play straight out of the box I needed to brake them for 5 days, but made in Bosnia vapor I could play straight out of the box in the same day I got them, in a match, without any issues
I noticed this quite significantly with the vapor 13s /superfly 7s. Made in bosnia pairs were always much much softer. Another interesting thing was that the swoosh's on the made in bosnia pairs were printed (not exactly sure what the right term here is) on differently such that they'd come off way easier.
The softness of the upper was always something that made a noticeable difference totally agree, I didn't actually pick it up on the last gen mercurials but I'm sure you're right.
Hii James, interesting video. I believe there is also a mental side to it as the recent phantom gt's that I brought from the impulse pack were the first ones that I got from Bosnia. The rest of my nike boots venoms, vision 2 etc are made in Vietnam and the materials, construction etc seemed that little bit premium.
Something about it is certainly about a mental perception, but there is also for sure a difference a lot of the time. You got premium Gts and that's all that matters!
Im glad you made a vid on it James, good stuff as always, ive noticed a few differences in the vapor XI i got the purple ones made in both china and Bosnia the China made ones have the ridges more pronounced and you can feel them a bit more too while the Bosnia ones feel a lot softer from the start( but both eventually reach the same level of comfort imo) but the ridges aren’t as pronounced and the Teijin almost feels like bubble gum super super soft so in a way the Bosnia ones feel more like the vapor x with grip lol
I thought i was going crazy right now lol. Just bought some vapor xi ice pack (bosnia) from ebay at a really good price and I started comparing them to others and noticed a few differences until i realized all the others were made in china. The Bosnia ones don’t seem to have the plastic ridge on the toe box and like you said the ridges aren’t as defined. I also noticed they didn’t come with the Nike grip insole and it just says “mercurial” which is also common in other color ways. If they feel more like the Vapor X like you said then Im all for it because those were amazing
Hahahaha I love that someone knew or checked that. A whole 1g of dirt. But what if you take into account wear and tear on the boots, less plastic on the studs from wear, so does the dirt weigh more? 🤔🤔🤔🤔
It’s a matter of manufacturing tolerance. Nike in this case isn’t even responsible for manufacturing in China/ Taiwan. I have a pair of preproduction samples of phantom GT that were made by Pou Chen Corp. on the tag it shows the acceptable specs for certain aspects of the shoe such as the heights and sizes of in this case the collar that Nike gives them they submit samples to prove they’re up to spec and then manufacturing begins. Pou Chen isn’t owned by Nike it’s an OEM that manufactures footwear for Nike, adidas, new balance etc. it goes to show how people’s thoughts and reality aren’t exactly in alignment. In a lot of cases “the brand” isn’t even making the shoes themselves
I have actually noticed the issue with the superfly 7 (Bosnia)and vapor 13s(China). Both in FG I can fit my relatively wide feet comfortably with the White/red superfly with ever so slightly softer knit. Vapor 13 in og blue hero colour on the other hand I couldn't quite break in due to tight knits squeezing my 4th and 5th toes.
I have some Phantom VNM’s and the black and gold pair is made in Italy, made really well. The pair from Bosnia does not even fit me well. Same size and everything. Just fits and feels weird.
On the vapor 13 made in China heel padding is ripping off after 2 months of use in my case, but with superfly 7 made in Bosnia I never experienced that
Hey boot wizard, I have the phantom gt 2 elite made in Bosnia (purple and volt) and they were alright not much break in time very decent performance, I decided to get the new orange colorway, got them and checked them, they were made in vietnam and the inside cushioning and stitching were way cheaply done compared to the made in Bosnia ones I have.. do you think they will soften (significantly) with more time, the moment I put them on they were absolutely uncomfortable and painful compared to the first time I put on the made in Bosnia ones. Should I return them or give ‘‘em more time
I have the superfly 7 made in Bosnia and the vapor 13 made in china. The superfly 7 is wider and my foot was actually sliding inside the boot but I didn't run into this problem with the vapors.
I got a pair of nike ID vapors a few days back and they are made in china. I can honestly say there are way more uncomfortable than I expected. My most recent boots were the phantom venoms and the X 19.1s. I did expect the vapors to be more stiff and less pliable straight out of the box, especially the soleplate but after wearing them for the first time I was SO disappointed. The soleplate is overly stiff and the boot just feels rigid. I hope they get better as I wear them more but honestly, I am very disappointed. This was my first mercurial in a long time so I got a really bad ‘first’ impression.
I know this is a year late but, I own 2 pairs of superfly 8, one Mbappe version (made in china) and another is progress pack (made in bosnia). I swear it was puzzling me why it felt so soft first time and the break in time is just one game for the made in bosnia then the ones made in china..
It means they have a degree of error that is allowed between factories, so they have quality control but it doesn't demand that every boot from every factory is identical because that would be impossible, however the margin for error could certainly be smaller if it's this easy to spot differences.
It’s interesting how things like that work out. I tried on a pair of pred 19.1s to size for the mania remakes, and the manias ended up being much bigger in the same size than the 19.1s.
@@samuraibri the last will have been different though, so the soleplate plays a big part but the last will be a deciding factor as well, the material will have made a difference as well.
There's usually very little difference between the boots especially made in Bosnia and China, sometimes you'll find a small difference in the upper material and occasionally the Bosnia ones are nicer. Made in Italy can be nicer again, there's not a huge number around (does depend on the boot though) and most pro custom boots will at least have been modified in Italy even if they weren't made there. Generally unless it's a specific case there's no difference in value between China and Bosnia, made in Italy may have increased value depending on the boot.

I think that's a pretty astute observation, softness out of the box has always been a big one.

The China version is more stiff compared to the Bosnia one. But for me the Bosnia version didn't provide enough lockdown.

Hi James, referring to your original review of the dragonfly, the weight was 192g. So the dirt on your used dragonfly is 1g. you're welcome *sips tea*

Thanks it was something I didn’t realize till I started collecting and got my hands on a few samples.
I got the Bosnia ones and they did feel a bit longer I don’t like it
Great review! Thoughts on the latest Adidas Speedflow.1 and Speedflow +?
I got my hands on a pair of Nike Mercurial Superfly V and they were made in Italy, they were so much softer than those made in china :)
The superfly V was one where you could feel the difference for sure.

I'm Bosnian but I had no frigging clue we manufacture this.
I thought EVERYTHING was made in China 😆😆😆
I think in Derventa.
All my CR7 boots have been made in China. my general releases have been from Vietnam & my Special Edition (Tech Craft & Scorpions) are from Bosnia
A lot of tech craft tend to be from bosnia it seems.
Even though the difference is so minimal. I wonder if in the long haul, the boots made in Bosnia will last longer quality wise than the other?
It's 100% a possibility. I do wish I could actually test that out properly.

I have the vapor and the superfly. My superfly gives me blisters on my heel but my vapors don’t. Is that a problem you have?
I've actually found both to be comfortable and I actually prefer my Superflys 🤷
Did Nike phantom scorpion elite FG made in Bosnia is original or Fake ?
I think they're Bosnia.

hello friend, greetings from Brazil. what website did you order these boots made in Bosnia from?
What about made in Italy boots?
Did mercurial from bosnia fake or original?

Not fake
Is the size of bosnia same size as asia boots? I mean the cutting of boots
Yes they're the same
Amazing
