徳川19代、家督継承を報告 東京・増上寺で「継宗の儀」Tokugawa family's 19th head reports succession at Tokyo temple

徳川家康から続く徳川宗家19代目当主として1月1日に家督を継いだ徳川家広氏(57)が29日、東京都港区の増上寺で開かれた「継宗の儀」で、親族ら関係者に代替わりを報告した。儀式は非公開で、徳川や松平の一門など400人以上が参加。儀式後には記者会見を開いた。
Iehiro Tokugawa, 57, who took the reins of the family in direct line with Tokugawa shogunate founder Tokugawa Ieyasu (1543-1616) on Jan. 1, 2023, as the 19th head, reported the succession to relatives and others involved in a ceremony Jan. 29. The ceremony, closed to the public at Tokyo's Zojoji Temple, had over 400 participants, including members of the Tokugawa and Matsudaira families. A press conference was held afterwards.
