She's beautiful. I never thought I'd like a hybrid GPU but when I came across the ROG Strix LC 6800XT at Micro Center back in December I decided to dip my toes in the water and I've been blown away by how cool and quiet these cards can be, not to mention that even with an overclock of 2.7ghz and 330W peak board power it maintains a 52C on it's default fan profile.

I got a really good price on one about 6 months ago or so(below MSRP), so I did it. I don't turn AA all the way up and I tend to cap more demanding games at 80FPS to free up a little overhead, but I also don't use upscaling so it's all crisp anyway without the extra AA. It's a fantastic card! I actually had to mount the RAD outside of my case. My case is an old Thermaltake mid tower that I have had about 4 or so builds in so far, so I just bolted two brackets to the top, cut a hole in the side panel, and ran it to the brackets. Some people may think it looks bad, but I think it looks cool, I keep the RGB off sonits just a Borg looking box under my desk on a shelf. It has benifiets being mounted outside the case too like it being super easy to clean and keeping any radiant heat from the RAD away from the rest of the system/the RAD itself from the rest of the system. I get Temps way below 70°C even when I'm pushing it too and often check to make sure the fans are even working because I can't hear them. You are correct too btw, I always run Toxic Boost! Like you said why not?! Well only when playing a game or doing something demanding of course. Anyway, good review. I would add as a year later update that it is definitely worth the money now! I have the XTXH version and it destroys 3080's for fun and is faster than a 3090 in everything bar Ray Tracing and any game that requires extreme bandwidth at 4K. For anything raster, AMD is better than Nvidia. www.3dmark.com/fs/25925184 - www.3dmark.com/spy/21586066
You need to enter the video options menu and set menu framerate to 60 and that will stop that from happening. Otherwise a beastly GPU like this will render a silly amount of frames in the menu screen.
The Quiet mode is impressive as it is barely louder than reference but has an extra 3 120mm fans. The Performance and Toxic Boost modes are fairly loud

@@theplayerofus319 well i aint because its not a manual overclock its a 1-button-oc trough the trixx software and manual tweaking beyond that is not really a thing you should do since the oc is already pretty extreme. likely silicon lottery. also applies to top binned chips i guess. other culprit might be my 1200w bequiet psu. ive had some crashes and the event log indicates its the psu, so maybe the power isnt clean enough. eh. idk still a great card.
Power supply? Temps? If your not running at least 850 it could be a problem. If it's too hot then your cooling is bad. I would just return it if it's doing that.

@@DSR98 yeah it will work with both but I would recommend a ryzen 7 and up to avoid being cpu bound
@@Dannosuke25 Thanks for the answers!
I know it says limited edition for this card. Do they only make them once or is it something I might be able to pick up in the future????? If someone could answer this for me I'd appreciate it.
Yo m8 the toxic seems awesome 👌
Please don’t be offended but this Graphics Card is made for Mining Cryptonight Crypto Currencies asXMR, Monero, etc
I got this card but I’m pretty sure I need a bigger PSU I’m getting stuttering, sometimes I’m having startup and shit down issues too
At least 850w
What PSU do you have?
Would this radiator fit into Hyte60 case?
m running the lesser priced sapphire 6900xt nitro OC SE card @ 2720 on GPU and 2150 on the mem how is the Toxic edition not able to reach that ??
My Toxic XTXH can reach 2805Mhz in 3dMark, check your scores and compare to mind. www.3dmark.com/spy/21586066 - www.3dmark.com/fs/25925184
Someone please tell me if this will fit in Meshify 2 compact front mount with a a
Arctic liquid freezer 2 240mm already mounted at top.
I cant found a case good for this gpu, i cant close the door case whit antex 410
This is not possible toxic boost hits the max power draw of 330 watts
what about junction temps?
very nice eyelashes good sir!
3% compared to 3090 as you said is nothing toxic is only 3% compared to 6900xt ref also nothing
Did ref overclocked
Also 3090 is not overclocked
So Really can't decide what to buy
Can the fans be replaced?
2015 , bruh that's an almost 7 year wait not 5
how is this vs the 3080 or the 3090 and will it fit on obsidian 1000d cuz they are up to 420 mm tray
Hello. I have the Toxic 6950 XT but the Toxic Boost option under Trixx is not there. Can anyone help me out here?
there are only 2 options with that card, default or overclocked. I guess quiet mode was impossible with the 6950
eu ta chegando !
In Warzone Lobby it goes 90 degrees (junction temp). Any idea why ?
You need to enter the video options menu and set menu framerate to 60 and that will stop that from happening. Otherwise a beastly GPU like this will render a silly amount of frames in the menu screen.
Why do you call the noise level impressive, when a stock (!) 6900 XT is actually quieter?
The Quiet mode is impressive as it is barely louder than reference but has an extra 3 120mm fans. The Performance and Toxic Boost modes are fairly loud
omg you could of flipped the wires to the other side lol to throw that as a down fall point is completely laziness
If it can't go above 2.7/2.8ghz, it's not worth it.
I think it would fit a 5000D Airflow, right?
I have it in my 5000x only with a ryujin 360 aio for my cpu
Along with *
I want that chasis, what temperature do you get from the GPU?
i feel like it underperforms compared to the 3090 considering the cost and the AIO setup.
And now the 3090 is £3K, and this card is just as quick for around half that price
@@mirarid 3000 £ st msrp or at scalper price
bought one today ... for €850 😁👍
i'm thinking the same cause the price seems perfect! What monitor do you have and what games you tested? Are you satisfied?
if the crypto miners didn't hog all the cards and i would of gotten this card for the heck of it
When I use the trixx software I can't use the toxic boost anybody know why?
Do you have this exact card?
@@KitGuruTech yes when I click enable it doesn't do anything
My card has pump noise issue, does anyone has the same problem? I saw the exact same noise on some UA-cam videos. I bought it 3 days ago and dont want to send it back. Should i do or
can i fix it? Any ideas @KitGuruTech
How is it mounted?
@@AFwitchdoctor there is a video about mounting of radiators in the gamernexus chanel. according to that video, inputs of radiators are at the bottom. i mounted it to front of the case. by te way happy new year!
I don’t know how did you got those temps cause mine is full load mining for 2 weeks and it never passed 52C and the watt consumption is around 250w, never check amd wattage from software, check it directly from the wall

@@AFwitchdoctor tfw you roll a Natural 1 in already top binned cards
@@robinbinder8658 what ? cant be dude all reach at least 2650 ... you are doing something wrong
@@robinbinder8658 manual oc its possilbe to get al least 2650 just saying
i have this card and keeps shutting off
Power supply? Temps?
If your not running at least 850 it could be a problem. If it's too hot then your cooling is bad. I would just return it if it's doing that.
whats with these biased cards in the list. comparing it to founders editon cards ? And 3090 gigabyte eagle trash card ?
Oh no, Asetek.
Can i install in front?

@@KitGuruTech but the air is going to in or out? (Sorry bad english)
Hardware unbox disambled their version😒
We were asked by Sapphire not to disassemble it. Hardware unboxed must have got permission, but they are a massive channel so perhaps they have a different set of rules than us.
@@KitGuruTech don't feed the trolls. You guys are the only one that actually review this aibs gpus in a lot of games, and i think this matters much more than to disasamble a gpu (sorry for my eng)
