Hey s2d, just wanted to let you know that NadeKing stole your Astralis video idea, such a scummy thing to do. He even showed the clip where the smoked off entrances in bathrooms and didn't even explain what had happened.
I mean the Astralis idea isn’t even that unique... But with his way of fragmovie montages you aren’t really able explain half the clips that are included in the video if it’s a more complex concept in my opinion

Recently, when watching Astralis games and the scoreboard (with Xyp being last place etc) I was like "Idk looks like Xyp is getting bad" but then I realize again that this guy is an absolute god tier clutcher and support player. He doesnt need to get 30-10 K/D bc the team is so well built that evry gear fits together perfectly and he does his job perfectly!
On CT side he is usually the last line of defence, so gets a very limited number of kills here, usually. Which is fine - he was designed for that job :)
He is usually playing bitch positions like "solo b player", thats why he cant put up big numbers in matches, but he is one of the best support players of all time

Xyp can win literally any round with the single condition of it being a clutch
Actually, i believe his weakness is 1v5's. His only 1v5 is still that ninja defuse from 2018.
Granted 1v5s are almost impossible to win to begin with, and that's why so few pros have them. But his playstyle of insane gamesense favors smaller skirmishes more. Once you kill a person in a 1v5, the other 4 players will know where you are, and it's pretty hard to outsmart 4 people from that position when they can just surround you and box you in. You really want to clutch 1v5, you usually gotta play it aggressively and hope for the best. Dupreeh actually has 2 1v5s to his name :-)

@@dharshdanube6911 This is true. Clutching 1v5 only happens when enemies are too confident and peek you too much. Im a clutch player aswell and only had 7 1v5 clutches in my lifetime (5 in mm and 2 in faceit).

reason why he clutch is he already see everysingle situations to come out with his decision. He is very order oriented and lookat his clutches he calculates order of peeking time of enemies. So he can react faster and mentally prepared to get kills.

Xyp just shows that sometimes mechanics are not what u need to dominate a game. All it takes are smart plays and big balls
Either one of them. Usually players who lack on one thing tend to be insanely good at the other. But ofc always good to have a good combo like device or zywoo. Agree though, xyp's gamesense is unmatched

He isnt a god at aiming.. but is still a god. He shows that aim isnt the only thing u need to be a god in cs
I think he's actually one of the best aimer in Astralis, it's just that he doesn't get many chances to show off.
I think why u assume he isn’t a good aimer is bc he rarely gets headshot kills, but this is bc he aims for the body on purpose bc he knows those are more guaranteed kills a lot of the time.

He usually sets up grenades for the entry fragger dupreeh when they try to take a bombsite, and if dupreeh goes down, he will come in and kill the guy who just killed dupreeh, that's why you hear casters talking about something like "he gets the trade". The support player goes very hand in hand with the IGL, in this situation gla1ve, who calls the shots, and thus xyp9x can set up a smoke, molotov or flash into site to make dupreeh's job easier

I think he thought that they thought that he would rotate to b, so he didn't and held ivy
Hes kinda really good at reading timings. He knew that they would be at ivy by this time if they decided to do so. Thus he would just wait there and if they don't come in the next 5-10 sec he would have rotated to b, cuz T's would have been there by this time.
In those situations it's just gamble most of the time, u can try to read them but its gamble
A gamble and yeah timing. He knew that they were low on util and probably didn’t have a smoke for lower at B their best bet was to go ivy and play together and either way whatever decision he made he would have won it anyway bc of how low the players were.
