Yep, Caster is pretty nice. Easy-peasy! Been trying it out for the last week and they'll get my $50 bucks for sure. Perfect if you don't need something as complex and pricey as audio hijack, which is also quite nice.
One small issue that I found is in midi control. I'm not sure if it's me doing something wrong (I only have previous experience setting up midi for DAWs) but the sliders are really finicky about what signals I send to them. I can pretty much only make one go from off to full tilt. I haven't figured that one out yet. Time to hit up their support forum I guess.

How can I remove the icon from dock as it really takes space for no reason and the icon is on the taskbar too
Great video Mike! Question: Can I use this to pass video to UA-cam or Zoom? I followed your video and I see the sound active. When I did a test UA-cam video, I got no sound on the video. What could I be missing? Thanks again!

It worked great, it records the desktop audio perfectly through OBS, BUT, I can't hear the desktop myself. I connected the headphones to the mic, computer, and my Zoom H5 (which I'm using as an audio interface for the camera), and nothing I have no desktop monitor.

This was the last thing I needed to be able to switch back to Macs. Thanks! I wasn't willing to purchase that damn garbage can Mac Pro and went to PC. Being a talk show streamer on UA-cam: The Shills, I was big into using Voicemeter as it's amazing if you know what you are doing. When the Mac Studio came out I was finally ready to switch back but, I wanted a proper software mixer and now I can finally pull the trigger and order a Mac Studio. What a day this is going to be!

Depends on how many inputs you need. More than just desktop audio if the app you are using can’t add the mic directly would need pro.
As I do watch all Your content and recording of Q&A (as I do sleep at that time) I really do like the way You approach all topics.

Hey Man, love your content. Can you do some videos on the new Beta version for OBS and Apple Silicone. Not enough info out there yet on what works and what doesn't. Specifically NDI sources. Keep you the great videos.
I will do videos on it when it’s not beta. The number of people who would use the beta is pretty low even compared to the small numbers of mac streamers. I found that it worked pretty darn well in the non native current state.

Quick question: Are you able to breakdown this similar setup with the new Ginger Audio Room Pro? I'm having a few issues with getting everything routed into OBS. I'm using a Zoom H5 Audio Interface for the Mic Input. Thanks! Great channel and information.

I do not. Seems odd that it wouldn’t recognize it as a camera.

Heads up it is $75 now. Still super expensive for a feature built into windows. It is way cheaper/easier to just emulate windows tbh.

Castor Live is no longer a free to use product. The main download page indicates that there's now only a 7-day free trial period after which the product costs around $99, which is essentially double the cost that you described in this video. Granted this video is nearly 2 years old, but the description of the product is now misleading due to it being so out-of-date.

Hey everyone! Question, we have a 2 person podcast. If I used Chrome, and hosted a Streamyard call. Would it be possible for caster to pick up that audio as desktop audio, and then I can have my microphone as separate audio?

I Mean getting friends who want to join in your chat while livestreaming via Discord on OBS being heard by everyone watching and not just being heard by you. Does my situation make sense? Basically, When streaming, my chat cannot hear my friends who I am on Discord chat with, only I can hear them. Do I need to have the pro version in order for my chat to hear my friends as well as myself? Or can the free version do that also? Thanks in advance for your help if you see this! ^_^

How to get audio from a zoom meeting to be heard on obs
Loopback does all of this too. That's what most max users that streaming use along with ecamm live as streaming software.
This app does everything that loopback does and much more for less then 1/2 the price. You can add plugins in CASTER as well as record everything, and the routing is supper easy!

@@TheMixClub let me know what happens because monterrey has cause mine to do some quirky stuff as of recent were I have to use audio hijack for loopback to use my mic properly or else I'll sound like a chipmunk. So I actually run it through loopback via audio hijack
In my MacBook Air M2 💻 OBS beta 28 when I select window capture or Disolay capture the screen audio is not capturing and I tried selecting in Advances Audio settings and then Display1 Display2 is Showing only one option that is Disabled anf for Mic/Auxiliary1 & Mic/Auxiliary2 it’s capturing audio. Now what to do to capture Display audio along with the microphone 🎙 audio. Please give us a solution to this. Big Thanks in Advance. (Like an Alternative for OBS which is totally free for every user)

Dear Michael. Weeks ago you show us a plugin where you have a new panel to add mediafiles (video, image, audio...) and you was able to overlay each with single buttons (or play button)
The medias are shown above the scene......like Logos and so on.

I have an hd60s+ capture card for ps4 capturing to my Mac mini m1. I also have the rodecaster pro hooked up. Having issues sharing audio from obs to discord. I have the blackhole audio driver also installed. Will this fix the audio issue getting to my share screen on discord?
It’s free for 14 days to test it. And after that a lot of the features you would probably be using are free. So I wouldn’t hurt to give it a try.

How do you also get your guests discord audio into obs?
The free version offers no benefit. It's a scam. Only with the upgrade it becomes more useful.
EDIT: The app installs virtual audio devices that are not uninstalled with the app and cannot be manually deleted unless you perhaps go through the Mac Library settings one by one. Awful app!
