A sad but true example of how to do everything wrong on autism you can do wrong. And a lot has been done wrong in my life, leaving me struggling with the consequences of a diagnosis which everyone thought of would be the best to shout out so everyone knows.
This short film has me in tears it made me think about what is going to happen when I'm no longer a child were am I going to live who's going to take care of me when I'm a adult and both of my parents pass away me and my baby sister who's 10 fights Alot with me and my other sister might have cancer and might not make it I DON'T want to go to a home for the disabled I know I shouldn't have to worry about it right now because I'm only 14 I still have like 5iesh Years of my childhood but it's just scary that that might be my future
Caley did this all wrong. She should have asked for financial advice and support from autism charities and taken classes in how to correctly deal with people on the Autism Spectrum and organised a carer to look after her brother when she went to work. She only had herself to blame.
I'm 32 and have Asperger's Syndrome (a high functioning autism)! This video is very heartbreaking when people have ignorance and intolerance of autism.
Another powerful performance. We are so so proud of you. You have an amazing future ahead & have shown that you have the ability to play any role. Well done to everybody involved :)
EvilBeagle he isn't a 6 year old he is able to think and feel like anyone else but he just can't control his body as well. His brain works differently doesn't mean he is a 6 year old.
Wow, no punches pulled in that one. There is one thing, the state carps about families ‘dumping sick’ onto them because that can get very costly; the families that haven’t the skills & or are hampered financially require skills & support. Did you know that community based solutions can and have provided skills knowledge and resource sharing that improves the social fabric and boosts productivity by involving more people and organizations for better all around outcomes. Build on what works by conversation and collaboration and costs go down as well. I’ll lay odds that for roughly the cost of one manager’s salary equivalent a community day school run with volunteers could solve a lot of difficulties for several families. Plus provide great interaction and growth opportunities for individuals. Plenty of those who have set up such would be glad to provide knowledge share. All the best Drew Gibbons

Because she doesn’t know how to care for him properly and because she probably wants a life and need to have a job to get money for food and don’t have the time for him

Heartbreaking. It's sad to know that there are families in America and around the world that this is happening to right now. Just say "no" to vaccines. Stop the autism epidemic.
@@BenKlassen1 autism has always existed, people are just being diagnosed more now. It doesn’t mean it didn’t exist, they were just undiagnosed and labeled as weird. And yeah genetic mutations take millions of years, that’s why there have always been autistic people. You do know the guy who said vaccines caused autism was proven to have made the whole study up, and wasn’t even a doctor in that field! Please do research (not from Facebook) and make sure your sources are reliable. Using terms like “epidemic” to describe a difference in neurology is so incredibly ableist I don’t even know what to say. As an autistic person I am so utterly disgusted people like you still exist.
This is such a fucking ableist and misinforming thing to say. Vaccines don’t cause autism you fucking dumbass. But since you’re a fucking dumbfuck I’ll atleast try to educate you on autism. Autism is a genetic and neurodevelopmental disorder basically you’re born with autism. So no if you get one vaccine you’re not going to be autistic, so stop your stupid, anti vaccine BS and research a little more about autism.

That was a great piece of work guys. Well done. Excellent photography, editing, soundtrack and good acting. Really came together well.

Very powerful performance. Well done Brodie on such a tough role to play!

The end made me so mad. YOU CANNOT JUST LEAVE SOMEONE WHO IS BASICALLY A 6 YEAR OLD LIKE THAT!

This is so sad
She just left him just like that
Todd should’ve been left on his own that day and she should’ve called the disability service to put him in a home.
Tod is no big boy 👦 he’s just a kid 🧒🏼 living in his own world. What does he know about life anyways?
Why did she make it seem like it was his fault for his mothers death..
Very depressing.
Is there a way I can caption this video? As a deaf person, I need captions.
Muito triste!!!!
Can someone please tell me what the song is at the end of this film please

What the fuck is wrong with you??? Autism isn’t a disease and it’s genetic. You’re a disgusting ableist
@@thebuilder5271 Genetic mutations take thousands of years.
Autism took decades to explode from 1 in 10k to 1 in 40. It must be environmental.
