I always wanted to try you style rainbow fishing on the big lake. I fish the chuck for salmon. I remember going into the local fishing stores in Kelowna in the early 90s before the closed and seeing the 20’pounders on the wall! Maybe someday!
Yes there are still some big ones around like that - maybe next time you are in the area you will get a chance to get out - thanks for watching and following much appreciated !
Thanks for watching and following my content much appreciated!
I love to think of people in other countries finding this video maybe thinking we all have such a heavy Canadian accent! :) also thanks for posting!
thanks for watching and following! I didn’t think I had a heavy Canadian accent LoL but I guess I probably do !
ive noticed this year its been really slow on okanagan lake.. marking fish but still had nothing the last 2 days (i been pulling okanagan bucktaills and lyman plugs). I think i seen you out there a few times last summer, love your content and am always eager to learn from locals!
Thanks for watching I appreciate the feedback! It has been slow I was out today and got 18” RB and one burbot. The rainbow was on a Lyman plug had to slow down 2.2 to 2.4 mph when fish are sluggish and 65ft to 80ft setback behind the ball and down between 40ft and 55ft. Hope this helps! I am working on a video should be done soon
Awesome video! So many excellent fishing lakes in the Okanagan. Thanks for sharing

How do you run your fly rod set up for trolling like line types lengths?
Hello thanks for watching - I use a 8/9wt with large arbor reel. Braided backing 30lb and then tie to 100 ft 15 lb Flurocarbon - I also sometimes just use a 7/8wt with full sink hope this helps !
Just subbed fellow vernonite
Thank you!
Awesome video!
Thank you glad you enjoyed it!
When was this fish caught?
Hello, All the fish in this video were caught this spring, why do you ask?
Did you get a strike at the 4:55 mark?
Lol good eye - either that or there were lots of weeds floating around something may have hit my line.
