The Crowd was phenomenal Backlash was awesome last night I Marked Out seeing Savio Vega and Carlito that was great and the Fans counting in spanish was a nice touch Cody Rhodes Vs Brock Lesnar was also great.

Have you been to a Raw and Smackdown live? They are mediocre and the reactions match it. Give the crowd something to be excited about.

I'm happy that we got a PPV over here and I was surprised that is considered to be the loudest crowd reactions ever in WWE, this isn't even wrestlemania!
It’s not just that they haven’t held a PPV there in almost 20 years, the Puerto Rico crowd are just as passionate as the crowds in Chicago and New York City.
As a puertorrican that lives in Puerto Rico, trust me, it would be like that every single time. I know my people. 😂

It won't matter if it is every week you will get the same reaction from puertorricans. Wrestling is part of our culture and history and we will show the same emotions and reactions as if it's the first time.

Similar reasons as Dave said as to why AEW will do the number they will do. The UK/Eurozone is starved for American wrestling.
Puerto Rico is an educated crowd when it comes to pro wrestling. We all grew up watching Carlos Colon, Sabio Vega, Chicky Star, etc. We are better fans and more educated than any AEW mark. 😌

Puerto Ricans are like this all the time wether at family gatherings or sporting events. They treat and cherish every moment together like it could be their last specially after what the people in the Island has endured in the past. An Island of 5 million people full of passion and resilience. Respect🙏💪

Puerto Rico are nsturally loud so even if the come often it will be that loud but maybe less packed. If you go to any of the local basketball games you'll see it's always just as loud even though its a common thing and tickes are super cheap
“It won’t be like that every week” is what Dave says about European crowds too and it’s bs, not sure why he always puts down hot crowds from outside the US. Go watch a football game, or darts or even cricket which is a pretty dull sport but the crowds are still crazy for 6+
hours, fans outside the US go to sports events for a party atmosphere and want to be a part of the event.

Considering what AEW has been doing with ticket sales for the Wembley show, I don't see any reason why they wouldn't be capable of delivering a show with the amount of 🔥 that WWE just had Bad Bunny aside. Tony Khan should be looking at a big PR show

Absolutely right. I was there at New Year's Revolution (2005) in Puerto Rico when I was a kid, i witnessed that elimination chamber match with Shawn Michaels as special guest referee. Since then I've been to two house shows, one of them very small, in a very small arena. The other at the same arena as Backlash. Other than that, nothing. Most people at Backlash did not even get to experience New Year's Revolution so this was completely new to them, most didn't even experience the house shows. So if I was losing my voice cause I was so hyped imagine them. It was amazing.
But with that said, even if they make PR a yearly destination I promise we would be the loudest crowd regardless. Maybe there would be a bit less hype but in PR we're always loud at events, especially pro wrestling. Hell even small little local shows with barely anyone in the stands you hear the "JUA!!!" on every hit. It's what we do, we make everything a party. We've been the best pro wrestling crowd of all time and it's always been like that but we've always been ignored. Hopefully Backlash does something to change that. And hopefully even AEW seeing that they sold out Wembley so quickly they give PR a shot as well.
Bullshit Dave, it can be a small show in a basketball court and you will see a lot of fkin energy. If they were to come every week ya bet your ass you gonna get a lot of similar reactions.

It seems like there's a small unexpected rivalry between PR and UK when it comes to the loudest, most hype fans. I got my money on PR but I like this. After Wembley I'm PRAYINGGGG that AEW goes to PR cause I want to compare. Great crowds. (But PR is just a neverending party, it's insane).
They are shamelessly pandering to poc. The quality of wrestling is down. Instead they're pushing some generic pocs.

Imma be honest, I was at the first AEW Fight for the Fallen in Jacksonville. This was before AEW had a weekly show or even their first world champion. I was so hyped, I was singing Cody's song before it was a thing, I was singing Jericho's song before it was a thing. I was hype af to watch the lucha brothers. But honestly..i never felt more out of place. I'm always the quiet one, introverted, at that show I felt like I was so hyped and loud that they were staring at me. I remember an older guy looking at me like "wtf". Bro, I'm the one asking wtf??? Why are you not happier? It's just a different crowd. In PR we're always like that, in the US people are just miserable or something idk. There's no party atmosphere. Even the introverted Puerto Rican was the loudest in an event when it's in the US. Y'all need to stop being so cringe and enjoy life, get loud!!! 😂😂

I'm from Puerto Rico, 🇵🇷I was at BACKLASH and I screamed and enjoyed every second...🫨 the fans were on another level... worth gold... without a doubt they were the key to making the show a success.
But Meltzer attributes the Wembly AEW crowd to AEW being so big and popular. What a clown.
