im contemplating if i would binge the manga or wait for the episodes. Which do you think should i do? And is the manga finished?

One of the reasons why I love this show is how heavy handed it can be when it comes to the industry technical terms. Hope the studio wont skip none of it
Seeing that they intentionally chose 11 episodes max this season. They seem to have a straight and direct plan to reach.... maybe the end of the Dating Reality-show arc.
Really hurts me inside knowing this will be one of the last few entries into the season, and the first (of a couple) to leave it first.

they have well planned how to adopt to different media like anime or somewhat on the first day creating this project (manga).
@@TH_Sofa I feel like the dating reality show arc is a bit too early to be ending the first season (Spoiler alert)
Maybe after the theater show arc and around when ruby finds the doctor's body. That seems to be the perfect time to end the first act as it's also when aqua and ruby seems to switch roles (with ruby tries to get revenge while aqua just starts to try living a normal life)

But of course I just really like what kind of tone setter the reality dating show arc is for the series probably why I thought we’d spend a good amount of time (4-5 episodes) on it. But the idol show does round out our female cast a lot more
.. 3 episodes on salvaging a show, 4 on the reality dating, 3 on idoling

Alot of people seems to be confused about while Aqua believes that his sister can overcome it, him, as someone older and more mature would want to killed himself. Well, if you think about this:
As a fan, he couldn't save his idol
As a doctor, he couldn't save his patient
As a child, he couldn't save his mother
Much less he witnessed Ai smiling while saying "I love you" and died right infront of him…😭😭

Many mainstream fans were overreacting when this anime hit #1 in MyAnimeList in just it's first episode.
Fans of AOT, FMA, KNY were furious why such an 'idol' anime even made it to the top, not to mention overtaking their favorite animes.
I also watched the first episode and was like "Why not? I'd give this episode a 10/10 easily".
It's just a matter of whether they could maintain this standards till the next episodes but this is a good one.
Dont worry Bleach Part 2 would take the throne later

This show is going to be very interesting. I have not read the manga and probably wont till the show is over but im curious if they have the balls to truly tackle the idol industry and the other heavy topics present so far.
so far AI has spoke nothing but facts. The idol industry is literally based on lies and quite frankly, toxic AF values. It's like American celebrity culture but somehow worse which can be surprising given how Japan is usually known for privacy and people who mind their own business especially in public.
Not a spoiler but the heavy topics are not just about idols but the entertainment industry as a whole about live dramas, anime adaptation, live actions, movies, stage plays and topics like as heavy as

Didn't notice it until now, but the way the kids' glow sticks light up Ai's darkened eyes is such a nice touch.
This prologue was so good, it could be a standalone movie with no sequel, and it still would be one of the best anime movies ever made.

Aqua means that the director should raise him as an actor, not as his own child ！！！！ Don't get confused! （almost 90% of those UA-camrs did)
Perhaps many have not paid much attention to her, but since Aqua was born and until Ai's death, I never called her mom, unlike Ruby, who did.
I've never read the manga and I don't know how far along it may be, but Aqua himself calling his mother as Ai may have an important arc that changes Aqua.
This is not a spoiler or anything, it is what I feel when she wants to commit her revenge and realizes that despite everything she did not see her as her mother, she saw her more as her biggest admirer
Ai, who wanted to experience love, finally got her own family and DIED BECAUSE OF THAT.
