    Eiffel Carb!!! Bwa ha ha ha ha!!! That's gonna stick. I drive my 67 as often as I can, but unable to make power tour, so it is awesome watching it through YOUR windshield and seeing your adventure. I've got videos of my 67 on my channel that are public, feel free to ride along in my car on a few drives I video'd. Love watching this tour, great vids!

      @@MechanicalAdvantageGarage Kerry, thank You for choosing to record, compile, edit, render and post this video. 🙂
      You have captured many of the various vehicles, including many of the unusual ones.
      a. certainly the very tall intake tube in to the carburetor, called "Eiffel Carb', better said "Eiffel Intake Tube" is certainly unusual, 'eye catching' and for many somewhat curious.
      1. for those with basic proper knowledge about air flow, carburetors, especially the Venturi Principle, the difficulties which the vehicle owner than conceived, devised, implemented this upon his carburetor, the issues he describes fit within the principles, though he seems clearly unaware, ignorant, clueless thus complacent,
      2. If the tube were designed with the appropriate venturi shape, much wider at the top, with a gradual, appropriate, proper taper, per the distance, then the air flow would actually improve, thus so would the performance as high riser manifolds, carburetors, etc.
      3, This tube also has the obvious issues with disturbance with proper air flow, aerodynamics, and is certainly easily vulnerable to damage, collapse with higher speed travel, especially sustained, even from 40 MPH onward.
      4. Seemingly though this attract many, this relatively, rather flimsy, implementation without proper structure would certainly not be functional for road travel use.
      b. the shown 2000's Red Challenger with the front nose, grill similar with a GTO is quite unusual, interesting. The implementation is very well done, fits well into the body. This could certainly be done with the first generation 1970+ Challenger and 'Cuda also, similarly. Obviously as stated it appears strange, and disturbing to many perhaps since the nose and grill are from a Pontiac, GM on a Chrysler/Dodge/Mopar. However as viewed from the aesthetics, shapes, form alone without any specific references, the design, implementation has a very good appearance and fitting.
      c. other have used a Gen 5 or 6 Camaro then modified the nose, grill to appear with Pontiac Firebird/Trans Am, also similar generation SS to have a GTO from 1970's integrated into them with very well done implementations.
      d. a person with imagination, creativity can use, combine various shaped existing design, forms, implementation, into one new development it
      e. perhaps You have seen a custom vehicle which appeared at Sick Week 2023 with a fully custom body which incorporated body shape, form, lines with the C1 Corvette and early MB SL, within fiberglass [perhaps some carbon-fiber] on a custom frame, drive train, suspension interior, etc.
      f. the individual which used a 1980's Dodge Rampage K-Car [originally Horizon chassis], body, completely modified it, switched it from FWD to RWD, mid-engine, with V-8, individual injector throttle bodies, etc. [seen shown there again inside on Power Tour, SEMA, etc.] is a unique combination, conglomeration
      g. similarly Cole Reynolds with his custom LUV truck, mid-engine vehicle is completely uniques, modifying a Gen 1 Mustang, Fastback to be mid-engine performance vehicle as a GT40, a Corvair modified with a V-8, mid-engine or rear engine, transverse or longitudinal, a Fiero or MR2 with a V-8 with or without turbochargers, or one with a tall, screw-ball supercharger, blower, swapping a Dodge/Mopar/Chrysler Hemi, GM/LS other BBE into a Foxbody/SN95-chassis Mustang, a 13B, 20B, 26B rotary engine into most any vehicle [imagine any You are able], FWD or RWD into AWD, Honda K-, J-, B- into many vehicles including a VW, Porsche rear or mid-engine, a Toyota 1or2JZ, Barra, any drive train into any vehicle, chassis of choice preference or custom design.
      -> a buddy, workmate in Toledo bought a 1968 Camaro, 'show car' in 1978, which the front nose, grill was replaced with a custom, fiberglass, desgined with a Chevy Monza grill, twin rectangular, horizontal headlights; very well done.
      -> have You seen the many 'Prototypes' which GM has shown, still exist within their displays, especially from the early 1960's, some early 1970's, 80's with the many based upon Corvair, rear engine, Aero-vette, earlier mid-engine Corvettes, also the Chrysler attempts, near production with turbine engines [as used at Indy for two years, until banned], along with many other; as much, far as the human mind can, wil conceived, devise, develop, implement, produce
      h. obviously their are many ways to use an existing vehicle, section, portion idea, concepts, modify, combine change, reform, adjust, etc.
      i. Many of the early "Hot Rods" were older Model A, etc. with significant modifications as Iskandarian and many other accomplished. along with all versions of Dragsters, "Funny Cars", Pro Mod still today.
      j. personally have some specific affinity with the Pontiac vehicles, from the 1960's-70's, some still with specific models into 1980's, early 90's. My close buddy, schoolmate, opten friend had only Pontiac vehicles purchased by his parents. As the second son, he received his first vehicle from his parent though his older brother; a white 1965 Tempest, 326 c.i., auto, ps, blue interior ->this was the first vehicle outside of my parents' vehicle which i worked on, and with him, also prior to his 16th B'day [July 1975] in preparation . He 'broke' with the family 'tradition', sold that vehicle within two years [1977], bought a 1969 Charger, 440 Magnum [rebuilt], auto.cream color. Still recall riding with him in the passenger seat feeling, experiencing, accelerating, acceleration from 55 MPH to travelling 150+ MPH [was the speedometer past the maximum[ on a two lane Hwy in Eastern MD, on the way to Rehobeth, DE [his parents' beach house]; still the fastest speed have experienced in a ground, land motor vehicle -> certainly have traveled in jet aircraft many times, which travel many times faster, with greater acceleration during take-off and landing; have not experienced a high speed jet aircraft, as with military, nor a rocket; there are jet turbine engine vehicles, also some with hydrogen/oxygen, thrust rockets too=> these would certainly be amazing to experience
      Am certainly looking forward toward seeing more of these Power Tour 2023 vlog posts from You along with Austin. Remember and viewed each Power Tour adventure You have done together from the first together within his AMC Spirit AMX with all of the issues, problems [mostly electrical - alternator, charging], Your father and mother driving in his Corvette, then in 2022, last year with You driving Austin's Pontiac LeMans. Also seeing You involved with the modification, correction tuning of, with this AMC Spirit AMX 304 c.i., long tube headers, exhaust system replacement, dynometer session, tuning along with the mention of Your 1967 GTO, which has been completed to this stage, now driving it on Power Tour as You have desired, planned.
      All The Best 😊. Sincerely ☺

      Jim drove the lemans last year. I had to sit out HRPT 2022 because of personal family issues. Jim was supposed to come with us this year but backed out at the last minute, which is a bummer because I wanted to show people we aren’t the same person 🤣, despite being the same height, having facial hair, and wearing ball caps.

      Luke, thunderhead289, likes doing these crazy things and even knows they don’t always work well. He’s a software engineer, not a fluid dynamics engineer so it’s just fun for him and he gets a lot of views. Last year he ran with a lawnmower carb and got 40-60mph from it but was capped at 65mph.

    19:28 every generation has different advantages when being car enthusiasts. Kids today might not be able to buy 230 horsepower big block Ford but they can have a 600 horsepower twin turbo V6 that weighs half as much.

    I think Hot Rod can rightfully blame... Road Kill... For all the rusty piles on Power Tour🤔

    • @MechanicalAdvantageGarage
      @MechanicalAdvantageGarage  Рік тому

      But is it a bad thing? I’ve taken nice cars and rusty piles on power tour and I have to say I’ve had way more fun with the rusty piles. Although I’m not gonna lie the AC in my Uber tonight felt super good

    • @upminer6162
      @upminer6162 Рік тому +1

      And do you think they care? Those people pay too. And those "rusty piles" are far more interesting than the restored Camaro every 60-70 year old guy has and the only work they did on it was signing a check.

    • @MechanicalAdvantageGarage
      @MechanicalAdvantageGarage  Рік тому

      It’s nice to see really well built clean cars too, if only to have something to aspire to. I’ll probably be 60-70 before this car looks nice so I get it, nice cars cost money.
      There were a lot of young guys with nice cars too, but they either work in the industry or bought nice nice cars as a starting place. Room in the hobby for everyone.

    220*, don’t you have a 180* stat?

    • @MechanicalAdvantageGarage

      I have a 180 t-stat but a T-stat makes sure you don’t go under the number. I think the fan isn’t pulling enough air at standstill.
