That's the "head". It's usually how Jazz is done. Put the theme out there and then develop it with the performers adding their personal flourishes (aka improvising). Once completed, they tend to wrap back around to the head to complete sometimes adding on a tag or coda of their own devising.

I've just found Tomo for the 1st time. I've listened to many video now and it clear to see John Mayer took away many of Tomo guitar mannerisms, Johns sounds very much like Tomo as do most all Tomo students, I like the play style, very smooth very easy listening . I subscribed to pickup some tips but i need to make this well known sound my own somehow, Looking forward to the lessons.Peace!

Thanks for sharing this funky jam. Is Eduardo's axe a Japan Tele model too? I like his tone, on this video he's sounding a bit more lively (brighter) than you, I'm not sure if you're playing a Tele too.
If I may ask, for how long has been Eduardo your student?
I dud forget to post this video! I think his guitar is a American Fender Tele. I have taught Eduardo for almost two years. He did a great job learning a lot of rhythmic stuff from me.
