Welcome to our 'Pindari Glacier Trek' series, Episode 1 where we'll unfold the mysterious route to the Pindari Glacier, Himalayas.

Bahut change ho gaya na shaung na loharkhet na dhakri seedhe khati bahut si yaadein judi hein tab nigam aur kumaoon ke guest house hi stay karne ke liye they my first and second time place to stay in bhageshwar govt. Guest house and nagender hotel
Yes, bhot change ho gya dost. Lekin aaj bhi Shaung, Loharkhet aur Dhakuri sey trekking hoti hai aur kayi log atey hain. Humein barish ki forecasting ki wajah sey jaldi nikalna pada warna Dhakuri sey Loharkhet ka plan tha. Next time karenge socha hai.

Yes a lot of landmarks. But if you're not sure, there are so many guides available. Just ask anyone in the village or in your homestay. 😊🙏

The real Pindari trek actually began from a village called 'Song'. From here one had to trek upwards to another village(can't remember the name); a grueling trek! Then one reached Dhakuri, a beautiful campsite amidst pine and deodar(?) trees The next day one had to trek till Khati village. There were many other night stops en route i.e. Dwali, Phurkiya, etc (not in chronological order). Surprisingly one met many groups from Gujarat!! Now There is a road nearly till Khati ........trek or a walk to Pindari glacier!!??
Agreed brother! Real trek begins from Saung, then Loharkhet and then Dhakuri. The Loharkhet way is the most beautiful and toughest than other routes. We had planned the same but due to some blockage we had to start from Khati. While coming back from Dhakuri, due to heavy rainfall forecast, we couldn't go to Loharkhet either. So we will try in our next visit. Happy to see someone pointed out the real route. 🙏😊

Last taxi stand from Bageshwar -
Name - Bharari, Distance - 25kms
From Bharari, take a taxi to Khati Village.
If you want an economical ride, take early morning shared cabs from Bageshwar.

Dost, December mei to Pindari band ho jata hai fir April end mei Khulta hai. May first week sey June 15 tak acha rahega aur Oct first week sey Nov end Tak.
Permit Khati gaon mei jaha Panjikaran karwaya hai wahi mil jati hai.

Guys, i watched all your 3 episodes, your video is awesome for both the views and the info you provided on routing, homestays and dhaba's you stayed at with the names and phone numbers of the people to contact for taxi, staying etc. This info makes your video very informative to viewers who can learn and re-apply from you. This type of info helps people like me to plan a trip with high level of confidence. Thank you. By the way one question - does this trek need booking, i saw you mentioned booking in a reply to a question in Ep 03 along with a number. Appreciate if you can share more.

Hi Sunil, you just need to do the registration for this trek. The registration happens just before you enter Khati village, there is a check post where you do the registration with nominal fee.

Thanks. One more Q. On your return journey did you trek back from Khati to Kharkiya? and How did you manage to get a cab from Kharkiya to Bharari?
We trekked back till Khati and then same day trekked from Khati to Dhakuri. After staying at Dhakuri for two days, we got cab from Dhakuri main market area to further Bharari and then Bageshwar.
Hum bhi abhi 8 Feb ko gaye the toh hamhe kafi snow fall Mila matlab itna maza aa gaya but hum log furkiya tak Gaye kyunki snow fall ke karan hum uper nahi ja paye aur fir avalanche bhi a Gaya tha toh hum log nikal gaye dwali ke liye lekin maza aa gaya
Next time summers mei dekhna. Bhot acha lagega. Pindari top tak bhi ja sakte ho. 😊🙏

We have seen people taking bikes till there and now I think the road would be in better shape than last year, so you can take scooty also.

Thank you. The trek is closed after October 15th because of heavy snowfall. Season starts from April end - May first week.
Uttarakhand is Toll Bhumi(Not a Dev Bhumi).They just took a toll everywhere you go.
Same everywhere in today's time, lot of toll roads and toll tax.
