I've played padel for a couple of years now. I thought that was a brilliant guide. Covered a huge amount very efficiently. Did not waste any time. Highly recommended.
Watching this video 2 hours before playing my first ever paddle game ever. At 43 and out of shape i hope it is a hit and i can enjoy playing it and turn it into a hobby.
I don't have very good hand-eye coordination so ball sports intimidate me but you made me feel really good about tomorrow's game. I'm seeing it less as an opportunity for me to embarrass myself and more a way to have fun with mates.
Excellent intro mate! Will play tomorrow for the first time ever (played both, Tennis & Squash, before) against my son and his friends (all in their early Twenties and passionate Padel players). Let's see if I (44 yrs old) can kick some a** tomorrow and win all bets I have placed already thanks to your lesson - will keep you posted...
This is an excellent instructional video - its a fantastic summary of both the technical and tactical basics and also highlights the key difference from tennis which is very useful indeed - thanks for putting his together I look forward to exploring this channel in depth!
Fantastic! Very clear and very helpful. I began to learn padel with an excellent coach 2 months ago. Your videos are terrific for revisiting the shots and strategies that we cover in our coaching sessions. You are also holding the racquet that I bought on the recommendation of my coach. Thank you very much for this channel.
Played for the first time yesterday, the tennis club i belong to have just had one installed, really enjoyed although will take some getting use to after playing tennis for more years then i care to remember!! Great video btw!
I would have liked some focus on the ready position and split step, as those are important if you want to be good. You also get better control when your left hand (for right handed players) holds the neck of the racket securely enough so you can let go with your right hand and keep the racket in the same position, and able to move it however you want. Don't just rest it in your left palm, or press your fingers against the back side, but grip it properly high up on the neck. This will improve your backhand strokes especially because of the increased control. Otherwise good video. And Spanish pronunciation for the Spanish words, like bandeja, would sound better. :P
Great video and was helpful in my first paddle game in lanzarote. If the ball bounces of the wire fence is it still in play ? Also are serves the same procedure as in tennis doubles ie the serve passes to the other side at the completion of a game ?
This is so, so good. Thank you. I've been playing for a little while, and my main focus these days is serving consitency. I make so many mistakes in my serves. I also find it quite hard to maintain net position, but I try :D The rubber band you have at the top of your grip, can you buy those somewhere?
hey guys, total beginner here, preparing for my first padel session. Does anyone know how much the wrist plays a role on backhand strikes? like in Table tennis?
You called it a padel ball. Back in the 1960's in elementary school we played handball In the school yard in Brooklyn, NY. PS 113.same rule played with black ball or Pinky pinky? Three walls or back wall.
Just saw this for the first time today in USA. Tried hitting with my a wife a pickleball and did not really like it. Unlike a pickleball this thing actually bounces. Looks way more fun than pickleball coming from tennis.
Thanks for 10K legends, hope you liked this video
You deserve it I just discovered your Chanel 1 week ago and your videos are great quality keep it up
Thank you bro I will do🙌🏻
Great video ..thanks ❤🔥

This is amazing. The perfect video to send to friends who are just starting out at the sport. It could save people a lot of money on classes

Thank you Bill, I appreciate it, I’m hoping lots of beginners see it
You're a great coach. Thank you! I've watched like 8-10 of your videos and improved a lot :)
Thanks so much🙌🏻
This was great, concise but covered all the basics. Lots of things for a complete beginner to try 😀. Thank you
Great, I'm just starting to play next week and this video is very helpful. Thank you
I love my lobs! The best are the ones that hit the wall on the downward arc after the first bounce ❤

Great video for a beginner - have just played for the first time - you dont mention drop shots - is there any place for these in Padel ?
not really mate at beginner level. At advanced level they are used but very rarely, not as much as tennis. And if used can be very risky.
Can you please make a video on the babolat technical viper or a video on the reverse kicksmash
hopefully will get the technical viper video out soon
I play tennis and lots of squash. What is the best reason to try padel, what’s there which is not in either tennis or squash?
Great. Thanks
Thanks, great
Great, Great
tennis + rocket league =
In a rally if your return bounces and hits the cage and isn’t returned is that a point ?
Yes!
15:11 you talk about backhand volleys across to the cage.
But according to the rules you explained at the start, that should be a foul, no?
No it can hit the cage, but it has to bounce. It can only not hit the cage of the serve

It's very similar to a tennis ball (many won't know the difference)
Great video, but music is a too loud in some parts IMO
🎉thx
You didn't mention the ball
speak to fast bro, chill out. Chasing money
talking fast = chasing money, nice one bro!
I stutter, I must be piss poor😂
Nice video btw!
