My OMAS pens are the finest writers I own. They brand is said to be being rebooted by the folks who recently did the same with Wahl-Eversharp. I wish them the best and hope that the pens produced will be worthy of the name. Thanks for sharing.
Very nice wooden pen. Done in a classic Omas style. I have a soft spot for wooden pens. Haven't found "the one" yet. Noticed some skips in the fast writing. My Extra (with similar banding) had some major issues until Richard Binder fixed it. In the end, didn't become a DW as it is too light.
I miss OMAS. Nothing writes like 'em. As the the Parker like nib, Simoni was very inspired by Parker. Early OMAS pens even had the 'arrow' style clip before they changed to the rollerball and diamond style clip.
Thanks for this great review, I especially love the historical details you give. I forgot to ask you, what paper do you use for your colour swatches ? And what kind of system ? Love from France.

I had a chance to speak with the folks taking over Omas at the DC show. I'm really looking forward to seeing what they do with the brand.

They are Mnemosyne Word Cards. They have been discontinued in most places...so they might be tough to find.
It seems recently you have some problems with your audio. It sounds thin and resonating, almost like an echo. Did you change anything to your setup?
Got a Omas arte Italiana vintage box papers ect 300$ shipped ;) filled once
Which ink is the TWSBI 580 filled with? Looks lovely.
kon-peki
I'm surprised at the way you hold the pen to the paper. (Nib so far rolled over to the left.)
Yah...I agree that looks a bit odd. It's a byproduct of my setup more than anything (camera, lights, etc). I'll see what I can do to remedy that...
