The stone face and the whole thing with Alex was totally organic. Like everything that comes with this dude. He can't miss.
And can't find a guy who both earned it and deserves it more. Legend of a man.
If only fighters who are trying to get popular realize this, it has to be genuine not forced or it’s not real
Much prefer his attitude over the Conor Illia way. Skills pay the bills
@@therodenthitmanearned it? Gtfoh. The dude was insanely fast tracked to the title shot, with all extremely favorable matchups. Fans ingnorance is mind blowing.

Of course you are not gonna be treated the same way as some amateur who is just starting his combat sports career + you have defeated the current champ 2 times when both of you were fighting in kickboxing. He was totally deserving to be fasttracked
For a man who can't speak English. He's one of if not the biggest star in the UFC and he's loved. Superstar.

Pereira must be the best asset that UFC has brought in recent years.
I agree since Jon Jones
still brings to mind the worst trade in UFC history to trade DJ for ben aksren lol
Edit: For all of you saying askren made Masvidal, Masvidal made Masvidal. Ben was supposed to come in and fight for the title but he couldnt even put a win streak in the ufc. Therefore he is a loser and a bad trade
@@KG-ii2yx DJ doesn't bring in money
@KG-ii2yx people keep saying that but it was a business move. As much as I love DJ he wasn't selling ppvs. Maybe they didn't market him correctly but he wasn't selling. Askren in his short stint did sell and also created a big star in Jorge Masvidal (at his expense) who became a big asset. I dont think it was not a bad business decision but this is my opinion because we do not have the hard data to argue either way.
@@KG-ii2yx wasn't a bad trade, askren promoted his fights better than DJ and jorge became a star off of knocking him out specifically. DJ was a better fighter, but Askren was a bigger draw by far at that point.

yeah honestly. pereira has clearly put the rivalry beside him but for whatever reason adesanya won’t let it go. not that i really think adesanya cares but if izzy put his ego aside and becomes friends/partners w alex a lot of people would like him more.

As a native Portuguese speaker, I have to say that the translator did a great job! Maintained the essence of practically all responses. This doesn't normally happen. Another fighter who speaks very well but a lot is lost in translation is Charles Oliveira
Oliveira speaks too fast and too much to get properly translated.
If he broke his answer in two to let the Translator do his job then it would be better
The translator is also one of his best friends and coaches
Plinio is sharp and fast. Impressive.
Yes, I don't speak Portuguese but translatorn always seems to on point and he's seems like a good friend to Alex. Love both of them 💪🙏
I think Fabiano, the official UFC Portuguese translator, is way better in translating word by word, almost 100% accuracy. But Plínio does a good job, he summarizes ok what Alex says.
Plinio and Alex are such a good and natural combo.
They are dynamic duo lol. They're both cool 😎
The interpreter needs to be paid fr, I don't speak Portuguese but not missing a beat for an hour is crazy work

Alex Interview on Ariel already has a lot more views than the "superstar" Sean O Malley ones here lmaooo O Malllley willl never be a star he doesnt have the it factor 0 personality 0 charisma
Deadly aura. That was the definition i was search for to describe poatan. Deadly aura
Hair Alex is a different beast I dig it well done warrior
he should rock a beard or a goatee w it
I honestly love Alex so much and so happy for him that he’s headlining 300!
Literally the best thing to happen to the ufc in the more recent years!
What I found a bit insulting, was so many "fans" were putting Alex vs Jamal down for headlining 300. Sure, Jamal hasn't fought in a long time due to injury, even if you don't like him.. You can't put so much hate towards Alex. He's had a very quick rise to 2 championships. I'm sure Dana tried to get other matches for 300 but they didn't work out. And this match was still available.
I'd rather see this instead of Leon vs Belal 2 for 300. Some people only see 1 side to an event. This card is fine. Sure they're could've been more additions but not everyone can make it. Looking forward to seeing Alex compete and defend his title. 💪
Alex is sooooo likable. Such an infectious fighter & person.
Izzy was actually the first to say he looked like an Easter Island statue in an interview after the first MMA fight. He said he should be called 'head of stone' rather than 'stone hands' (='Poatan') because he was tough or something
There’s a bunch of us Brits who get together and watch the fights on a Sunday evening (if you’re not from the US, you know how that goes!) and we all unanimously love Alex. He’s game. He’s warm, but stoic at the same time. I love how he trained with Strickland and cornered him. That’s incredibly cool.

At first I was annoyed the UFC kept bringing fighters in an giving them a fast track to a title shot (first Chandler then Alex). But after he beat Izzy I became a big fan. Winning the light heavyweight belt has easily put him in my current top 5. Nobody can deny his fights are entertaining. I never would’ve thought that 2 Brazilians… Alex an Olivera, that don’t speak English (or very little) would be a couple of my favorite fighters. Their fights are always exciting no matter if they win or lose! An they are both the definition of bout it!! Love his loyalty to Strickland. Alex is just an animal in the ring/cage but besides his ego aside and would train with Izzy, I don’t think izzy would think the same. All class
Every fighter has ego.. but Izzy's spoiled kid so he downgrade his opponents. That is why he can't believe Alex beat him 3 times and ran from press after Sean's loss. He disrespect the opponents even in kickboxing.

I can't see Alex losing anytime soon, especially after having trained with grandmaster Steven Seagal.
