There’s no way House can search a woman’s purse in 5 seconds.
Those things are like K-Mart. There’s literally everything in those purses.

I love the old team so much. The new team was so scared of House, especially in the beginning, probably due to all the application games he played lol. But Foreman, Chase and Cameron feel very calm around House, and he seems to treat them more as equals, too. They work for House, but House clearly respects them a lot. It's such a good dynamic, and it feels real.
I think they were supposed to be more experienced, close to be consultants or at least senior residents. The later teams were more like new residents just out of internship, very fresh, very inexperienced, lacking knowledge, leading to fear and insecurity. Like in real life, they behave differently.
Tiia Maybe at first new team was afraid of them but later on they all got more confident and earned his respect.

This is by far the best episode. The Sherlock Holmes type medical crime solving was done so well.
I come back to this episode every other month or so because the reveal was just too satisfying.
Xerin Knightwalker was Sherlock also a sex fiend?
It was an amazing episode, because it was a great homage to their source material Sherlock Holmes it’s great how they did a medical and murder case at the same time.

They need to make a pre-House M.D. series where a younger House is in Med school and doing practicum. That would be an awesome series!
Who could possibly day play him
Who on earth would play him? He wasn’t exactly a small child when he went to med school so pulling off a younger him would be difficult or it just wouldn’t feel like house if it was someone else.
@@erronblack308 that's what make up is for
With the right actor yeah but where could you find someone young to do this guy? 🤔
They did it was called doogy howser
"If you're happy, you've got nothing to look for." House may have been an ass, but he was definitely keenly astute regarding human nature.
This is the one thing he got wrong though. You don't have to be miserable to strive for something. You can be both happy and still want more. It's called maturity and drama-free adult life.
@@yevgeniyaleshchenko849 100% True.
@@TheAdarshMehta In order to push yourself into real greatness, in any field, you have to have a profound lack you feel in life, like something is missing, despite the knowledge that you should be happy, despite everything. You don't need to be miserable and pop pills all day, but you do need the tragic sense to permeate your thoughts, however subtle, about life. But pills help, yeah.
@@yevgeniyaleshchenko849 How do you actually know *BOTH* want more tho? Thats the subtext question house is proposing by that statement. Communication right? Congratulate yourself if you're actually in the small percentage of good relationships like that (Everyone says they are but mmhmm sure) however thats why House is correct in this observation of HUMANITY as whole.
TLDR House is using basic knowledge about human nature as a whole to draw a conclusion about this couple's marriage.....and considering how it ended...

It was to be expected that House would realize she's acting but I like that Wilson noticed it too. I love when shows let all characters shine, not just the primary protagonist.
What clued Wilson in?
@@alanparsonsfan I think he could just tell, the same way House could. Maybe they both think she's OVER acting.
@@alanparsonsfanmaybe that he just randomly started convulsing and she was the only one in the room
@@alanparsonsfan They both watch those day time soap operas a lot combined with how they are both intelligent and very observant only natural they would both see it as just acting.
Wilson was being sarcastic when he said that. He wasn’t actually calling her an actress, he was mocking house for saying the same thing earlier. It’s plot misdirection, the scene they’re watching unfold is supposed to lead you to believe that she’s not poisoning him. Her reaction to her husband almost dying convinces both house and Wilson, at that time, that she’s not acting.
‘If you ask me, if two people trust each other, a threesome once every seven years might actually help a marriage.’ Everyone in the room: Instantly wants to marry Cameron.
Tell you find out she ment 2 dude
Disgusting Michael! You need to wash your mouth out and stop spreading lies! I have screenshot this for the police and government and cyber security action fraud. If you touch my food or computer again, there will be big trouble!
@@crazychase98 she definitely meant 2 dudes. Remember, she fell in love with her husband’s best friend. She’s probably fantasized about it frequently.
It's crazy that they never believe House.
Probably a good idea because it avoids "group think" (which is when a team is used to one guy usually making the right decisions so they do whatever he says no matter how dumb it is). They're all doctors, not just House, and they're all smart. If they just do whatever he says, and he's makes one mistake, they all fall with him (or don't even need doctorates if they just do whatever one guys says anyways). If they question him every time, they can ensure they have the right answer.
House has made many wrong turns before. Sure, he usually ends up at the right answer but treating every wrong hunch can get a guy killed. At the end of the day it's hard to face someone's family and say "Sorry your loved one is dead, my asshole of a boss is usually right"
He has to go through like 7 wrong ideas before he finds the right one
I don't think it's that they don't believe him. It's more so that they're trying to make sure he has it right by questioning his logic. Nothing worse than having a roomful of Yes Men when you're trying to figure out how to save someone's life. You need your colleagues to call you out when they think you're wrong as it can help save the life you're trying to protect. Also house has been wrong before
They have to not believe house. If they did, house wouldnt be right
When I saw this episode for the first time, I was surprised that such a poor actress had been casted as the wife. Later, when her secret was uncovered, everything made sense. She did a great job portraying a dishonest person who was fulfilling her fantasy of being a distraught wife.
The actress was acting while acting
Anyone else notice her blue sclera? Osteogenesis imperfecta?
This is possibly one of the coolest exposing-the-murderer scenes ever
“What was I supposed to do tie her up?”

I cannot believe so many people in this show have beautiful blue eyes
I cannot believe there are so many good looking people in a show that is scripted and edited for a major entertainment company to be presented to millions of viewers.
Yep...totally just can't understand how such a thing happens.
I was thinking the exact same thing. Older cameras captured the blue soooo well too, they quite literally sparkle
Real life blue eyes are quite disappointing in comparison lol

He was explicitly referencing that spousal-murder-justifying song.
"They had it coming, (they had it coming)!
They only had themselves to blame!"
Good old victim blaming.
Did the episode ever state what her motives were?

That's when he knew he wanted to marry her
Chase was like "hell yeah Alisson, you're next!"
"The only thing he did wrong was marry a sociopath" ... yup, ordinary everyday people do not try to poison each other
In this particular episode, House's distrust in humanity is founded. His pessimism allowed him to see what no one else was willing to.
"It's...almost poetic."
House almost admiring how for the twisted woman went to poison her husband in such a way.
It fascinates him because it is an anomaly.. Never seen before, both brilliant and twisted.
At home, later that night, he sips his whiskey, staring in front of him.. thinking about himself.. Because he knows he walks a fine line between brilliance and madness himself, and he might get terrified of what he is capable of if he ever finds himself on the wrong side of that line.
so he is like rock from Rick and Morty
He was probably making a joke on her being a "gold digger".

When has it ever been lupus? Btw just say it’s not lupus and you’ll know who’s a House fan around you😂
They once had a case of a magician who actually had lupus.
Rambard what episode was that?
Gizira Leon It was the 8th episode of the 4th season, titled "You Don't Want to Know". The House M.D. channel has a clip from that episode, called "Magician Blows House's Mind".

That gag that never gets old to any House fans.
Started watching house in 2012, was in 10th grade at that time, loved every bit of it not for the dr part but for the sarcastic part. Now as a med student, I love House for the doctor part and the sarcastic part. Many times I memorized symptoms just by rerunning episodes.😁
3:48 "Why would I want to hurt my husband?"
Folk, when someone suddenly accuses you of something secretly true, you have to act surprised and confused, not point out there is no motive like if you're already in a trial.
I just realized it was Emma this whole time...

Thank goodness I saw this comment cause I can't figure out where TV show did I saw her cause she looks familiar and your comment made me realize that she's Emma.
Emma found it hard to believe in magic because she'd spent so long watching Dr. House cure patients with science.
The whole time I was woundering if she was Emma swan it was the hair that was throwing me off
No. This isn’t Emma. This is Cameron. When you watch once upon a time then you can say thats Cameron. She was Cameron before she was Emma

Bronze is way more of a considerable step down from silver than silver is from gold.
Lilah Jamison true, Silver has the highest electric and thermal conductivity and highest reflectivity of all the elements. Bronze is just a crap alloy
hence why bronze is usually the least valuable in terms of money for fantasy settings. Gold, silver, bronze.

both Gregory House and Sherlock Holmes live in the same apartment number
Well that's the character House was explicitly based on, just remained as a doctor instead of a detective.
Fun fact: Sherlock Holmes is based on a real person, who was a doctor and used his wit to solve sicknesses. Dr. House is based on Sherlock Holmes. So in a twisted sense: House is basically the source/based on himself.
In 5:34 it's very fast but you can see inside the wedding ring some violet smudges...what a brilliant spoiler of what's to come
This is one of my favorite House clips - what a clever way to poison someone. The husband seems like a catch if I've ever seen one. Also, Samantha Mathis has aged incredibly well - she didn't look much different in The Thing Called Love, which was filmed like 30 years ago.
I love watching House M.D. my latest addiction during pandemic. With this episode, I don’t understand why the wife poisoned her husband except she gets a thrilled out of it
Sorry for the late reply, but, basically, it is implied she wants out of her marriage with him, but family and friends on both sides think everything is peachy keen. She decides to discreetly kill him by poisoning him, but to avoid being caught, uses a very rare/niche and very expensive gold-based poison that isn't really ever tested for.
If he died to it, there was a very good chance she would escape without being caught and could leave the marriage while getting all his stuff as a bonus, all without ruining the "peachy keen" image their families had of the marriage.
However, this is all guesswork. The episode never confirms the real reasons, leaving only the implications to go on.
