It wasn’t Adam Chance doing that that high note it was Bastien. They were goofing around and he made that face trying to make Rob laugh and they kept it in.
Saw them a week ago, Bastien has filled those shoes! He was fantastic! The guys were so lighthearted, energized, we laughed so much during those shows!
Perfect introduction for Adam Bastien. Fits his voice and his personality, too. Saw them live last week and he fit in perfectly in their "old" catalog, too. And, yes, Adam Rupp is that good live. Can't get enough of him.
You applauded their video, and I applaud yours. I love that you help me sort of hone in on the beatboxing! It's so easy to hear just the singing and not really notice the beatboxing because it's just there in the background. I love that you bring it forward to where I can pay attention to it. 😊
Fantastic, super-immersive reaction. You really bring out what's great about this piece, in all the ways you appreciate it, in addition to your comments.
I saw Home Free back in 2018 and can arrest to Adam Rupp's live sound being THAT accurate. A 2+ hour show plus 9 minute drum solo and he is as crisp and clean as the end as he is at the beginning.
They even joke in concert they are the Adams family now. This release was specifically intended to highlight Bastein on lead. I suspect future releases will have much more lead and part swapping.
Home Free did a great cover of one of my favorite Bonnie Raitt songs. Bastien's voice was perfect for the lead. Everyone sounded awesome in the background vocals, Rob with his bluesy sound, Tim's bass & Adam's vocal percussion. Looking forward to more of the new songs with the newest member.
Bastien has actually been part of the Home Free family since the beginning 2000-2001. There was a lot of in and out of the group in the first few years -- someone can't make the gig so they have someone else come in for a show or two -- and Bastien was part of 7th Ave, the group Chris Rupp had when he left Home Free along with his sister Tristin.
Love your reactions and excitement! There is a "behind the scenes" series they do and one is at Adam Rupp's house. He takes you on a tour and to his "beat lab" where he lays down a track right there - you should check it out. I've seen them in concert, he sounds just like this live. It's unreal.
If you haven't figured out yet that Adam Rupp actually makes those sounds then you definitely haven't reacted to enough Home Free yet. LoL. I am looking forward to seeing/hearing more of the energy, smiles and sounds Bastien will bring to the group. Thanks for the Home Free reactions.
Such a good song for Adam B. Chance wasn’t doing that high note…he mimicked Bastien to make Rob laugh and they kept it in. Chance is the baritone/bass and I don’t think he can sing that high…close maybe. Tim (with gray hair) is the deep bass but can sing with the tenors (he has a 5 octave range). Rob (glasses) is a tenor and Bastien is the high tenor as was Austin (the redhead who recently left the group). Adam Rupp is the beatboxer. Remember Rupp is the original member and has been beatboxing for over 20 years now. He’s tremendous and is also a tenor when there’s no beatboxing like in Brother in Arms, How Great Thou Art (he sings a little). He may be using a looper in production.
Funky and fun. Obviously, typical production during recording. And that's not Adam Chance on the high note at the end. Just goofing around during filming and they kept it in. There is an old video of Adam Rupp in the studio, showing how he does the recording and editing his track.

P.S. You need to check out the live fan video called -- 9 to 5 Beatbox Breakdown PLEASE

*attest 😅
Hoping for more Home Free, thanks for the reaction 🥰

Try their covers of "listen to the music" & "love train". Adam is BEAST! ❤❤

They dropped 2 that day.
You have to remember that our FREAK OF NATURE has practiced /repetedly again and again for 24 years

Legend says Adam Rupp ate a full assed music shop as a toddler.
You really need to react to one of Adam's live drum solos
He already reacted to 2 of rupp's solos..

Don't feel bad about not knowing what Adam Chance did. Unless you are familiar with his range, you could easily miss the joke.
Liked and subscribed ❤Great reaction. Beautiful Cover of Vince Gills song❤
Oh, and Adam Rupp has been practicing beatboxing since 2000, he's had time to polish up the sound.

Bas-TEEN!!! 😉🥰
❤
Adam Rupp has a luxury of doing his beat-boxing over the track while at home. I'm assuming they can increase his volume if needed.
Have you listened to Adam's beat boxing solo?
@@maxinegoode6766 yessirrrr! Twice even
Ben je soms jaloers, dat jij het niet kan, alles wat Adam Rupp doet is echt geen nep!
