You can see the BC before it teleported out, and Serral knew it was either BCs or Banshee because of the techlab on Starport, so he has actively seeing his base.
As a Zerg Player, watching the widow mine connections hurt, would love to see that censored! :D

Byun is the type of guy who can micro a sieged tank 😂. Still unbelievable he came back from military service just a little while ago and can go toe to toe with the goat.

He had a desk job and could come back home and play every day, which is pretty lucky and the reason he's still so strong

That was a masterclass game from Byun. He knew he would trade efficiently due to his micro and focused on consolidating his position and let Serral bleed himself dry and that is a lot harder than it sounds
Byun looks like he had a military service on starcraft. I also think they made him general there.
I saw this somewhere but held off on watching it in hopes you would cast it, my wish has been granted!!!
I am convinced widow mines are the best unit in the game right now. They come out early and are useful the whole game.

Comparing past generation athletes vs current athletes always will show current athletes being better. This is because no game/competition is stagnant, and competitors are always finding ways to innovate or get competitive advantages over their competitions. This raises the standards needed to compete for all members of the sport if they want to be competitively relevant. This can be seen in Olympic sports (high jump, weightlifting), team sports, and esports :)

You seen Serral face reaction ? It was crazy and the whole fight was all over the place that the caster couldn’t keep up lolol
I became a big fan of ByuN since he came back, and this match is the pinnacle so far.
Great match, he earned this win!
But I got a general question regarding Terran Bio:
Why don't players build more bunkers, let's say in the middle? They would have a fall back position that would be very hard to break
probably just for apm purposes. an effective bunker nest might not be worth the cost compared to a medivac drop
I used to love watching byun and was so sad when he stopped. Never knew why until you started casting him a lot lately, its been great thanks Lowko!
honestly kinda wonder if they decided that every pro gamer loosing their career when they go do their mandatory service was getting to be bad press and just sorta made sure he'd be able to pick back up where he left off...or something a lot more localized like being stationed somewhere where the base commander is a fan.
I feel like it was a slow death after 30 min, would have loved to see something like lurkers.

I haven't played sc2 enough to know and with updates, but when lowko said "that's cute", to the Zerg sacrificing itself to locate the widow mine, I see the Terran spies walk by and , essentially reveal the widow mine also, without the need of the observer? ok hear me out how about giving ultras the trait of aberations ? where they can walk over friendly units it would eliminate lot of their clumsines it schould be posible for them to have that trait if you look at one of the campaign trailers where they show ultras they ARE HUUUUGE like absolutely masive and you are telling me they cant walk over zerglings ?

I am not sure if you saw Serral's reaction at 35:10. When he lost the Mutalisks if not its worth seeing it. :D
I use the zerg composition Muta/ling/bane/hydra/lurker/roach/ravager/ultra/corruptor/broodlord/swarmhost/viper/infestor, it counters everything.
I get to watch a video 41 minutes after it going live?!?! The bell button really is worth it guys !!!

Have to say that last thor won the game for Byun, who is standing on the widow mine that killed the last batch of zerglings(which is pretty satisfying to watch as a terran player)

When you say this was the best of 2020. I remember a game of serral vs dark? probably not 2020, but serral just getting hammered and somehow squirmed out and won the game. THAT was a good game to watch. Does anyone have a link for it?
Was watching it live, it was awesome! Too bad couldn't see Byun's face.
I was amazed how Serral did not split his army this game. He was always attacking on one angle - attack in a choke point and pull back - the story of this game. He was losing so much off creep I was really pissed off. His play with infestor was bad in this game. I think he could win this if he tired to surround Byun. Great game. Love Serral and was cheering so hard.

really hope widow mines are nerfed or changed to require some skill input. the passive value from the mines seems to be a little out of control. Only seen a few pros retarget during engagements. the burrow, unburrow micro is neat, but if i'm not mistaken wasn't even used here.
totally agree. seems unfair from zerg prospective. i want burrowed banes to automatically unborrow and instajump on closest clump of marines. so terran had to either burn scans or have a raven with each and every squad
and this mines aren't die after they shoot which is ridiculous. okay, i want banes that unborrow, jump, detonate, and do not die afterwards. how is that, huh. mines cost efficiency is just straight broken
Zerg 30 workers ahead for 20 minutes; loses every fight. Zerg lategame such a joke atm
Cant fight without creep, you clear creep, you keep zerg contained. It's kinda stupid tbh
When you're both maxed you still have 30-40 more supply tied up in workers just to stay even. But that's 30+ less army for every fight
So you have the least cost-efficient units in the game, but you also have LESS of them to fight with. BRILLIANT balance design. Just brilliant

ByuN does not make ONE reaper. He makes zero, or 9000. Nothing in between.

sadly there is a conflicting about battlecruisers as behemot class is told to be 9 km long while the "biggest ship" is gorgone-class that is said to be 600 m long(?). BC crew can range form 6-8k on those but smallest ships had less than 1.5k but since we are talking about minotaur-class, it can be approximated as being 1km in length and that puts us at 3k crew(?) sadly volume is not a 1:1 translation to crew, as crew required per cubic meter drops with ships size due to scaling of dead/low-manitance space and nature of subsystems not requiring 1:1 crew as well (for example if you have life support twice the size of prevous one you don't need twice the amount of crewmembers to operate and maintain it). It is impossible for me to define crew size without blueprints of said ship and basic data of it's systems.

ByuN's midgame composition showed a lot of self control. I usually see top players dump resources into a lot of thors or ghosts and lose them quickly.

I always though Ultras could be buffed by just removing their collision with zerglings. Their problem is *usually* that they just get boxed out by their own zerglings. The other problems they have could stay, but having your own units render your other units useless feels more annoying than anything else.

mass mines seems totaly broken. I mean at 40:45 it is literally impossible to break this mine supported defence line since ghost and thor counters every tier 3 unit of zerg without a drawback in their build. Since the BL nerf you cant even try to break these comps and better try to play a solid midgame style.
