Some companies greatly discourage sharing pay information, and even go so far as making employees sign NDAs so this strategy doesn't always work. Really, the best method is for black women to go for the higher paying jobs. The choice of job is what is creating the discrepancy in pay. The speaker herself admits this when she references the types of jobs black women were working during the pandemic.
My workplace replaced 4 BW who kept taking time off to picket for BLM and replaced them with WM. Now our office is more productive, peaceful and harmonious.
I’m not sure what the ask here is. If the reason this so-called gap exists is due to the choice of jobs, then either we are supposed to pay the CEO the same as the janitor, or to install strict race and gender quotas across all job sectors. Both of which seem like monumentally terrible ideas.

I'm all for my wife getting paid the same as me, because that means my household income doubles.
Her success is my success and mine is hers.

There is a logical problem here. Lower paid workers are more attractive to employers. So being disproportionately paid less means you will be disproportionately employed in the workforce.
The logical blindspot is this: the black women dragging down the average and the white men propping up the average are not performing the same jobs. Even the interviewee admitted this.
If the Black women worked the same hours at the same jobs at the same productivity rate, and uninterrupted employment time employed as White men they would be making the same money.
This is just the same as expecting the burger flipper the same as the CEO.

This argument is disingenuous at best. As a black man we only get .53 cent to the dollar and that’s not even accounting for prison or those that have been continuously unemployed, because in some place black males make up over 80% of those unemployed. It makes me sick when a bunch of bed wenches get upset because Masa is not giving them enough crumbs from his table. What a joke you can’t be complicit in a system and then complain like the SS Soldiers that were Semitic. Let’s talk about how in places like Baltimore, los angles , Chicago, and Detroit where this BW are leading these communities into the ground.

It's because job choices, education, expirience. Black women has way more college degree than Black man. They make more money because they choose more dangerous and stressfull jobs. If Black women do the same job, making less money, why not employees only hire Black women?
