The creation of the Action Directe group in 1979 marked the beginning of the French years of lead that would culminate with the @$$@$$in@✝️ of General Audran in 1985 and the boss of Renault, Georges Besse, in 1986.
The following year, the four leaders of the movement were arrested and sentenced to life imprisonment. According to the media, they wanted to strike the symbols of capitalism but none of the victims had the profile of the big liberal boss.
