@Hailey No they're not. It's the first time in Simone's elite career that she was 2nd on floor at a big competition. Usually people walk into the final against her, knowing that their best will only be 2nd. It doesn't disrespect Simone, it just shows respect to Ferrari.
Needed more difficulty to do that, plus (as was always the case for her) better execution in the non acrobatic elements. I’m just glad she finally got a medal!
@@gymfusion7817 I do love Vladas floor music and her dance capabilities are much better than jades. But she also has no facial expressions in her routine, she does 2 wolf turns, and dismounts with a double twist. Not entertaining to me. It’s great that you love her, but I’d rather watch Jade.
@@brodypenn the russian-soviet gymnastics school was and is always the best in the world, because the sport its a combination of the dance and acrobatic elements, the American school don’t have the importance of the artistic part, a very important subjective part, the tumblings are amazing, but, what more?

You know she was feeling bad when she's not able to come out on top on floor. This is the girl who would go to floor finals and beat second place by a full point. It still pains me that she was not able to be her best self during these olympics.
Dont appreciate nowadays floor routines, there is lack of artisity and is all about acrobatic, sometime i feel i watch some circus performance and not artistic gymnast. Those girls can not compare to girls from 80s (especially mid to late 80s) as well floor composition it's not the same as it was, it helps girls today to jump higher with less power and strenght (even girls today looks bulky).
Fortunately, those videos of 80s floor routines still exist for you to watch over and over again on UA-cam. The rest of us can enjoy the superior athleticism and incredible difficulty shown by the girls today under a fairer and more transparent scoring system.
Go watch rhythmic gymnastics then. These routines of the modern era are exciting in their own way. Some people just have to have something to complain about at all times.
