Nice work on the video. Most people ignore the AWACS crews and the fighter jocks get all the glory, but these women have a highly important job that keeps the carrier safe.
@Throwaway Account yep, the role was described by a greyhound pilot as "behind the scenes"
Great interview! T-56A engines are Rolls Royce and used to be Allison, but I would never expect radar officers to know that. The props are Collins Aerospace.
Great to see these young Ladies accomplishing such a vital role for our country 👍
Great job with the video. I was assigned to VAW-121 in the late 70's, no female crew members because it was considered a combat squadron. Transferred to RVAW-120 where there were only 2 female pilots who were training for C-2 COD duties.
Best line in this interview: "So the pilots have ejection seats?? ..no, the problem would be, there is a giant dome" 😵💫
Thank you for your service ladies!!!
thank you for your service A Rod Hm1/USN/ret
Awesome. 👏👏👏👏
Semper Fortis. The crew that fly the E2 Hawkeye are flying in a very dependable aircraft. There is a lot electronic equipment stuffed into the fuselage to help the crew have eyes on encroaching enemy aircraft whether manned or not and provide or verify what their or other surface ships may see on their radars. Great, brief video.
Probably the most important job on the Carrier strike group.
Awesome! It must be so cool to be flung off the deck of a ship. Heh
2:02 You put her on the spot but the engines are made by Allison!
That one was on me! - Allie
Two of these four young women are (role) models.
Its a e2d advanced Hawkeye get it right
Next episode is about Male Nurses
Okay, thumbs up. Please, please get funding ( try as hard as you can and get a meeting with Bill Gates Foundation? ) for this material. Have a meeting with power brokers ( 1 % with a conscious) because this message must be sent out. Peace.
I rather males flying my aircraft.
I rather you focus on learning proper English.
Why? You can't say statements like that and not give a reason. Personally I just want competent pilot. Male or Female.
they're NFOs... they aren't flying the plane lol. also you're dumb
The 1950's are over, Elmer.
