- my 2002 954rr acceleration from 3rd gear to about 178mph. Only mods are k&n air filter and Dominator R slip on exhaust. This was going up a slight incline. Rider height is 6'3 and weight is 227lbs without gear on.
Glad to see I’m not the only one still running the streets on a 954 👍🏾👍🏾
Hell yea bro I'm still out here hurting supercars feelings on my old Fireblade 🤙
@@714integra me too 😂
The geometry on this bike is awesome. Really easy to ride fast. Great brakes too.
It is a great fun bike and plenty fast, and it's super flickable in the corners💯
Beautiful bike and sounds like a bike should,….. not the parallel twin shite
@@ritid69 thanks🤙
I miss this bike so much :(
known as one of the most aggressive bike ever ,made.. you have to be an expert to ride this unforgiving bike..
You're thinking of 919 and 929. 954 had the more powerful engine but was the easiest to ride.
It's definitely wheelie happy, it wants to bring the front end up often. And at higher speeds it's a little jittery. But that's what makes it a fun bike!
You clearly haven't ridden anything since 2002
@@kevingray426 I don't think he means about more power or speed. Yea the newer bikes have more power, speed and a more aggressive seating position. But these older bikes although lower in the power department, have no electronic rider aids. That's what makes it more of a "dangerous" or "aggressive" bike.
I remember thinking I’d have my 954 forever, but then a 14 year old found keys in the ignition of some construction equipment and ran it over
That sounds horrible man sorry to hear that.
All good, 😂
I got a RC51 shortly after and many bikes in between. It’s really cool to know they’re still around!
@@jeepinj4 I do alot of business with a local honda dealership near me an the owner is really good people. He let me test ride an rc51 they had for sale and it was definitely a fun bike. Alot more aggressive seating position and it felt really different with that v twin.
I wamt a 954rr so bad but theres little to none in colorado
They are definitely hard to fine especially in clean condition. Mine has all original fairings🤘
Just get a 1000? And be careful
@@Midnight_Rider96 I would but i want to do a rebuild of my dads bike that he built awile ago
@@714integra Hell yeah thats sick, love how light they are
@@Editz416 they really do feel like a 600cc that has 155HP.
