So interesting and thoughtful, Rubidium. Can't wait to see the results. We're glad the 24-70 served you well on your journey!
Wait a minute, US college professors told me Cuba was a socialist utopia. Should I believe them or my own eyes?
What lapel lav mics did you use for the audio?
Very interesting as it links my 2 interests salsa and content creation;).
Very nice. I’m currently in Varadero on vacation and shooting a personal doc on the side
This is so cool man! Love seeing your work
Thank you very much. This video was really interesting I was in the country 25 years ago for many months and I loved it with all its contradictions.
Perfect timing - I'm off to Cuba next week for 2 weeks and would like to film over there.
I'm flying from the UK via Spain so there are fewer restrictions and I've been there before, although without a camera. I have so many questions but for a start do you think carrying a C70 with one lens and a small tripod - I did think of a DJI Mini 3 but they are banned.
Thanks
I could not see an extra battery on your rig. Did you use the internal batteries?
Yes! I was charging it between takes.
@@Crimsonengine Thank you. Great work! BTW the audio came out pretty clean without the tascam attachment.
It was an amazing opportunity to work with you.
Great insight...thanks for sharing.
Very cool. I hope we have the chance to watch the short. What app did you use to build the 3 dimensional model of the room? Thanks!
I’ll post the film once it’s done! The room was captured by Polycam
Thanks@@Crimsonengine !
This video is timely as I’m going to Cuba in April for 10 days to document a hip-hop program.
Did you anything specific documents for bring gear into Cuba and abridging you’re returning with the Sam’s equipment?
I didn’t hear about needing anything like that in Cuba.
I would check. When I went 25 years ago landing in Varadero with the intention to Go to Havanna later was a bad experience. I carried 130 film rolls but without press permit. They seized it and gave me options. To pay import tax of 10$ for every roll or levae it there and recover it aftet I leave the country. I paid as I was staying for 2 months. I got my press card later but not my "import " money back. Just check. Better be safe than sorry.
My wife and I visited Cuba a few years ago and like you I was struck by the crumbling infrastructure. I didn't think that the embargo would prohibit paint and construction.
