This was sick man! Long time sub here. I know you’re aiming to make these as authentic as possible, but tbh i would love to see you throw your own spin on each of these songs, like improvising over or spicing up certain riffs, adding in a solo like you’ve done in the “What if X had a solo” videos in the past, etc, instead of seeing another re-cover of each song. Don’t get me I still appreciate you taking the time to do these, I just think you’re such a talented guitarist that you could really make something unreal if you spent some time noodling over these songs that we all love. All the best!

Hey Jon, first of all the tone is spot on. Well done! I just got the new TD strat and was wondering what amp model and cab you used on your axe fx. I know it’s been 5 years but if you happen to remember or could point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated! I’ve been trying the recto models on my axe 3 and I feel like I’m not even close. Thank you!
I've been using the orange ad30 clone with a v30 loaded 4x12 for years on the axefx2. Good chance it's being used here. If not that, then maybe a Soldano slo100

Slowpoke No, but I think it’s fun to play stuff as close to exact as possible. (I even get disappointed when bands don’t play songs note-for-note like their recordings. LOL)

hey man i saw many of your videos and I can see you're a real expertregarding tom delonge sound so here's my question. in future i want to build myself a tom delonge strat like this but im not sure about the invader pickup, is it really good for blink or only for their old school era? and then 2nd question, i have another guitar (les paul) and want to replace pickup in it also, what would be the best pickup for universal usage? rock/punk/metal music? is dirty fingers really good, or seymour duncan sh-4? thanks for your answer and for your videos
The invader pickup is definitely best suited for Tom's tone from 99-2003. But can handle the rest if you eq properly. Both the dirty fingers and jb will work well in a les paul. I prefer the dirty fingers though
