Class 9 Chapter 10 Example 2 - Calculate Area of Triangle by using Heron's Formula | NCERT Maths

This video explains Example 2 of Chapter 10, Heron's Formula, from Class 9 Maths NCERT textbook.
The example explains to calculate area of a triangular park using Heron's formula when all three sides are given and to calculate the cost of planting grass on the entire area of park. We also need to calculate the perimeter and find the cost of fencing all sides, when unit cost is given
A triangular park ABC has sides 120m, 80m and 50m (see Fig. 10.4). A gardener Dhania has to put a fence all around it and also plant grass inside. How much area does she need to plant? Find the cost of fencing it with barbed wire at the rate of `20 per metre leaving a space 3m wide for a gate on one side.

Is question mein pehle area hi nikalne ke liye kaha gaya hai. Waise kaafi questions aise hote hain jinmein area nikaalna padta hai even if it is not mentioned. For example, if you are asked to find the cost of painting a wall, then you must know how much is the surface area of the wall to find how much paint do we need. Is it clear now?
