Hey Great video like always. Just flipped a 06 uplander got it for $150 from someone's lot he claimed its junk because it overheats and leaks. I change the thermostat and changed the transmission coolant lines. And the car workes perfect!!! I put it up for $1450 and sold it in less then 12 hours. Thanks bro I became a licensed dealer after being inspired by u
This was great, thanks, been searching for "free vehicle registration history report" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you heard people talk about - Niyiley Xanarah Plan - (do a search on google ) ? Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my cousin got great results with it.
"It is always easier to sell a clean car versus a dirty one. Many people assume a clean car is also well maintained. That can be a dangerous assumption, but make it work for you". Best advice I heard from someone long ago. I sold my wife's 15 year old Rav4 in a day and got full price.
This video is gold. Your giving away valuable info. Take the advice buy the dirtiest cars but good running. They make easy 1k $$$ easy money domt be lazy put in the work people
You don't have the option to drive a car if your buying it out of someone's yard parked. Its more of a hope and see at that point. To date I've yet to find a sub $800 USD car that didn't have major rust or rot issues or was someone's failed project and all the wirings gone to hell. And if neither of those two are the case, then it's a Saab sonnet 3 with engine parts missing and a seized transmission.
Here in NY it’s impossible lol ppl will lowball you ALL day long. U ask 1500 they’re going to offer 500 lol.. people also aren’t dumb, that gen. Altima comes with so many little stupid issues that people will whine about lol

Don’t think you’re just going to be making tons of money easy, because you do need to know what you’re doing, it takes skill and when you get into inventory like 20-30 monthly it also takes really good knowledge of the market.
Hey Austin, when you started flipping cars how much knowledge of car mechanics did you have? I am 20 years old and want to begin investing in cars. I have basic knowledge of cars but nothing crazy in depth. Would you recommend? I am a quick learner, is there any courses that you would recommend when it comes to mechanics?

Very true. I bought a 2010 Soul ! 5spd w/83k with a bad clutch for $700. I spent $1300 getting it right and sold it for $5000 in a week. Absolute win!!
This video is the real deal. I have been doing this the last 5 years. Starting out this is just how you want to go about it. I am in Arizona and the cars have no rust, but plenty of sun burn and rotted rubber. It's all door handles, window regulators, batteries and tires. Those Altimas, Camry's, Accords and Subarus 93-2002 will be your bread and butter. I do real well at the auctions buying the Donated cars, most right at or near 150k miles. This is where people think these cars are done. You pick them up with Clean Titles that way. In Az, we do a ton of salvage stuff too as it is quick and easy, $50 to get them inspected. Those mirrors you can pick up at any Pull n Save or Pic a part for $7, fenders, bumpers, headlights, hoods too...all cheap. These cars are easy to do body work on. Good luck, and watch more of this guys videos, honest and true. Just be careful, you can only flip so many without a license or you will get popped.
You're even teaching us how to paint a car. I think it's so cool. Thanks, Craig. I think just the transformation to the car alone is a reward in itself.

If you go to Harbor Freight and get the $10 HVLP, it's going to look like a $10 paint job. You're not going to get good results with a 8 gallon compressor and the cheapest HVLP gun available. I tried doing that to paint kitchen cabinets. It didn't work well. I bought a $100 HVLP off amazon, but I had problems with moisture because I was doing it outside and an 8 gallon compressor wasn't really big enough. I ended up going with a turbine HVLP system which worked great. All told, I had about $600 into my spray system - and I got the turbine used.

Thank God a few honest car dealers are alive. We bought a 93 Camry wagon.for $2000 the seller flipped it on us after paying $500 at local auction. you know i really pay my respects to you for all your knowledge and for sharing. I watched this video when I needed it the most. I will follow your suggestions and teachings. thanks a lot body !! I have subscribed to your channel and gave it a Thomb up !!
I paint cars for a living and if you think you’re going to be able to get a spray gun for $10 and have that gun paint that car you’re not thinking in terms of reality. Not only that, but to get a compressor that can maintain enough psi to use that gun is going to be at the very least a few hundred dollars. Am I saying you need the best tools to paint, no I’m not. I’m saying you can’t do it with a gun that you can get for $10. That’s like saying you can do all the motor work with just a simple socket set from harbor freight. A $10 gun will do nothing but clog and spit paint all over the vehicle, and that’s assuming you can get enough psi out of the compressor to even make it spray. I’d love to see you do a budget paint job using the process you’re suggesting. And how thorough was that detail job because I would never want to paint a car that has all those chemicals fresh on it. This is not a realistic approach at all. And you never blend clear coat, and why are you talking about using single stage paint and clear coat in the same application? How many cars come back to you with all the paint peeling off? You’re giving the car business a bad name, unless you’re advertising that you only sell beater cars. I might come get a car from you that could take me to the car that I really want to buy and then leave the car I got from you on the side of the road where it fell apart. I’d like to see a video of how you’re “patching” metal into the doors. I get that you’re trying to be cheap and sell cheap cars, but unless you’re letting people know just how horrible the car is that they’re buying then this is just shady business. People would be better off using the money on a down payment on a car that won’t be back in the shop every week bleeding money. Now the buyer is out of the money they paid you for it, they’re going to have to spend more money on new repairs, and figure out a way to pay all that and pay for Uber’s or taxis to work and back, and pay their insurance. But hey, you get to make a video of you acting like a big shot and acting like you’re wheelin and dealin by saying multiple times that you pay other people to do the things you need done.
I’m trying to get a few of my flip cars done. Sucks with no garage! One day il be in a garage again ... thanks for sharing your video and your experience. I appreciate it. I just wish I didn’t have to have a lot and open 8 hrs 5 days a week lol
Thanks for the video! I tried it once, didnt work out but gonna try again. I saw a Lincoln Continental that was kinda abandoned in my grandmas condo community. She knew the owner lived in the neighborhood and the board was going to tow it after it sat in the public lot for years. So I left a note on the windshield saying I'd take it off their hands for free. I never heard from them but im gonna keep on trying haha
very good video ... to people who has a little experience .. or who want to get into the bussiness or like to flip cheap cars .. (on tax time) ... very nice .. thanks Craig
@@jaimegonzlaez8459 true but realistically the guy with 2 grand is just happy to have a car that runs and drives that well, the paint (despite not being professional, is better than peeling clear coat) will just sell it 10x faster.
Love this! And if the motor is blown you can pick up a motor off eBay for a reasonable amount (under $700). This is a great video! Do I hear a video course coming soon? Lol
I got my first car when I was 14. It was sitting outside this house for ages so I knocked on the door and asked the guy how much he wanted for it. He said, "If you take it away today it's yours." I ran home and got my little brother and we pushed it about half a mile over gravel in flip flops, (which broke). Mum wasn't wrapped but I got it going and used to drive it up and down our street.😁
Nice informative and helpful video. Advice needed. This is the car I bought in April to flip along with all the costs. All I thought it needed was body work and cleaned up. It has an overheating issue where the radiator cap keeps blowing off. I messed up and think I paid too much. It sits up at the repair shop and the mechanics won’t look at it. Advice to me would help me and your subscribers too so they don’t make the same mistake. Thank you. 2007 MKZ: 850 - Car, 58 - Door (P), 50- Tow, 25 - Autocheck Report (P), 25 - Light Bulbs (P 10), 15 - Cooling Module, 15 - Inner Fender, 15 - Rear Quarter, 25 Tow, 30 - Radiator and over $1,100 invested :(
Those have the internal exploding waterpumps that cost twice as much as you invested to repair :( if caught on time. Now the engine is likely toast. Maybe you can find a used junkyard engine.
Update I got a checked out by the mechanic and the pressure test came out OK it was actually a big air bubble in the cooling system. I guess I’m lucky and it’s all good to go. Thank you for all of your input and have any of you ever heard of an air bubble in the cooling system?
@@perfectlyshunned8611 very possible if it isn't bled right. Depends on the car. Some have a high point where you have to open a fitting and fill it. Some systems are just hard to fill, and there are tools that suck out all the air and refill. Older Lincoln continentals with the 4v DOHC 4.6 are like that. Without an extra step, what you describe happens. But it is a totally different engine. But those cars do have the risky waterpump. Not that common but very serious when it happens.
I'd like to see you flip a 03-07 accord. Those are such well built cars and (espieically the 06-07) people will drive 4-500 miles to buy one. At auctions they are super popular cars.
thank u for inspiring me to flip cars, got a 2005 Mercedes E320 4dr 118k miles for 1300$ (listed at $2500) With the 2 driver side doors wrecked, but the engine wasnt touched, it runs perfect, and had a little dent in the rear fender, I went to a junkyard that had my car and took of the doors myself with my friends dads tools for $170 got them put on from craigslist mechanic for $250 including the fender body work, and got it painted for $310 so $2050 in because i also bought a 20$ hood ornament of amazon because it was broken. i detailed it myself and put it up on multiple platforms and it sold for 4900$ 🙏🏼💪🏼 im 19 and trying to save up, no GED
I know how you did the painting and all that but how in the hell did your guy buff the fenders and areas where the clear was peeling?? Maybe I thought I saw clear peeling on the fenders and it actually wasn't but if it was and he somehow buffed that then that guy is a miracle worker and you need to give that man a huge raise
It's all about being out going and friendly with a clean appearance. That's it. I actually went to a lot a dealerships and was told no but one gave me my chance. I don't sell cars anymore but I had a great time.
I'm always amazed at how we think alike man! Everything you saw in this car is what I always see. The cheap mirror, good tires, solid floors, the gross interior. I love these finds & in my area of New England, they're everywhere! Great video.
Looking for a cheap car after selling my newer cars. I might drive around the city for a dusty car. These are great tips when looking for a bucket to drive.
Great video. Next time use a steamer and carpet shampooer on your carpets and a magic eraser on your interior trim. You'll get it like new in the same amount of time. Even the worst stains. You really nailed this though. I would have paid $2k for that thing in a second. Those old Altimas go and go and go.
If I had time I’d be doin the same thing. I paid 500 for a Honda Accord. And sold it for 2500. I put a set of brake pads on the front and replaced on of the cooling fans and the radiator. Wish I’d kept it
Respray, detail, abs sensor, and a catalytic converter at the least for a clean example that will sell without many complaints as you try to sell it to someone.
People DO buy with their eyes. That’s why my dealership details before we put them in the lot. My last place didn’t do it. That and test drives sell cars.

Nice video, straight to the point, NO-NON-SENSE
You have a nice car business but you could have been a great TV presenter , believe me.
You should think of an other king of Video series ! God bless.
I used to do the two tone paint as I live in the rust belt. Most I got at Junk or double the junk yard and I drove most home.
Really like your videos.learned a lot.I m working on it now. Hopefully will be a real dealer shortly !!
I just applied for my dealer license, just posted a video of my carlot, garage and office
Dude, I like everything you have said in this video. To all viewers, pay very close attention ,this man is shooting straight. I operated a wholesale lot & did some of the very things he's talking about. VERY GOOD VIDEO.
Thank you
@@FlyingWheels your very welcome my man!! If I wasn't in Mississippi I'd give $2000 for the little Nissan(lol). Well worth it at that price!
Thank God a few honest car dealers are alive. We bought a 93 Camry wagon.for $2000 the seller flipped it on us after paying $500 at local auction. He lies about everything the AT was shot ,whole front end worn out, cracked windshield etc. We lost over $4k on that POS and hated dealers. Nice to know not all of them are low life scoundrels.
you know i really pay my respects to you for all your knowledge and for sharing.
The song at the beginning is " who ride wit us" - Kurupt
I’m trying to get a few of my flip cars done. Sucks with no garage! One day il be in a garage again ... thanks for sharing your video and your experience. I appreciate it. I just wish I didn’t have to have a lot and open 8 hrs 5 days a week lol
People buy with their eyes... 👁️👁️So true!
Aesthetics. So true! The feel and smell has to be right.
A true gem!!! Thanks so much for the wealth of information my friend 👍👍👍👍
Definitely subscribing!!
I never heard from them but im gonna keep on trying haha
well knock on their door!
Honestly just got bored and watched this and now I'm about to flip a car 😂 Great Video Bud
very good video ... to people who has a little experience .. or who want to get into the bussiness or like to flip cheap cars .. (on tax time) ... very nice .. thanks Craig
Wow, Nobody would ever do such a good paint job on a car they're gonna flip, Great video!
wouldn’t say good so much orange peel on hood
@@jaimegonzlaez8459 true but realistically the guy with 2 grand is just happy to have a car that runs and drives that well, the paint (despite not being professional, is better than peeling clear coat) will just sell it 10x faster.
Priceless gems of knowledge.👍👍
I used to buy those cars like 10 years ago and the passenger floor would always rust away
Jalisco Pow I can second this haha I welded sheet of metal on driver and passenger side
Floor mats are 15 bucks
Mustie1 has a trick where he sprays the underside of cars like that with chain oil, it creates a perfect barrier, no rust problems after that.
Not here in the deep south lol
@@wendyvea chain oil will be gone in a few weeks. Undercoat is the correct way to fix it.
Good video. Can you show us your second lot? Maybe a tour? Do you have somebody there all the time?
Scott Rasmussen lol you sound like you tryna rob the lot
14:09 I know what you were thinking 😂
Excellent job looks great, just something I would of done in my flips like that buy new Black Walmart rugs. $20
Love this! And if the motor is blown you can pick up a motor off eBay for a reasonable amount (under $700). This is a great video! Do I hear a video course coming soon? Lol
how much is the labor to hook up an engine into an empty car though? because i actually just saw a 2007 ford focus for 500$ with no engine in my area
@@Realizinq about $1000
I got my first car when I was 14.
Find a new mechanic
Update I got a checked out by the mechanic and the pressure test came out OK it was actually a big air bubble in the cooling system. I guess I’m lucky and it’s all good to go. Thank you for all of your input and have any of you ever heard of an air bubble in the cooling system?
That is an air bubble but actually could make the radiator cap pop off Because it seems good to go now. It even has heat.
I love this video. I watch it for inspiration. I’m going to find the how to paint videos. Thanks
Very informative 👏 great work with the paint.
I'd like to see you flip a 03-07 accord. Those are such well built cars and (espieically the 06-07) people will drive 4-500 miles to buy one. At auctions they are super popular cars.
i own one with 260k miles
Thank you I was looking for a video like this!
thank u for inspiring me to flip cars, got a 2005 Mercedes E320 4dr 118k miles for 1300$ (listed at $2500) With the 2 driver side doors wrecked, but the engine wasnt touched, it runs perfect, and had a little dent in the rear fender, I went to a junkyard that had my car and took of the doors myself with my friends dads tools for $170 got them put on from craigslist mechanic for $250 including the fender body work, and got it painted for $310 so $2050 in because i also bought a 20$ hood ornament of amazon because it was broken. i detailed it myself and put it up on multiple platforms and it sold for 4900$ 🙏🏼💪🏼 im 19 and trying to save up, no GED
saving up to flip homes ive been doing construction since 14 that was my first car flip, 2021 is the year of car flips 💪🏼
Congrats! Always good to read someone using their brain and brawn to make $$$.
Craig, great job on your explanation on flipping cars I never even thought of doing!!
Alyssa is awesome every shop needs her
I know how you did the painting and all that but how in the hell did your guy buff the fenders and areas where the clear was peeling?? Maybe I thought I saw clear peeling on the fenders and it actually wasn't but if it was and he somehow buffed that then that guy is a miracle worker and you need to give that man a huge raise
I’m very impressed with your passion and knowledge bro
That was a great car for it's day. Super reliable, affordable, and quite roomy for it's category.
nice work. good advice. thanks Craig. this method works for me too.
Hi Craig. I came across your channel tonight. It was really enjoyable. Keep up the great work.
Great in depth video , really learned a lot 👍🏽
Great video Craig! Ignore the haters. They’re just jealous!!!
That was good. Yeah I get too carried away on some of my flips.
Alyssa needs a detailing channel
Could you make a video on how to get a job at a car lot. I went around passing my resume to lots all day today and giving pitches
You won’t make any money doing that, you want to be the one who owns the lot, not the minimum wage salesperson on the lot.
Mustang most people don’t have the capital or knowledge to open a car lot. Most people also fail, because they cannot adapt to their local markets.
It's all about being out going and friendly with a clean appearance. That's it. I actually went to a lot a dealerships and was told no but one gave me my chance. I don't sell cars anymore but I had a great time.
Riley Higgins thank you! It’s funny the people who committed are losers in life trying to downgrade my question.
Wow. Amazing video
Tons of information.
Great video. Next time use a steamer and carpet shampooer on your carpets and a magic eraser on your interior trim. You'll get it like new in the same amount of time. Even the worst stains. You really nailed this though. I would have paid $2k for that thing in a second. Those old Altimas go and go and go.
I worked at a Port for a while....a lot of people would say the car was dead,,,,I go and move it, it was a manual. haha
Good content, you are lucky to have a garage that you can keep warm in the winters to paint. Thanks for the video.
He bought and resold a shitbox to one sucker across the street lol
If I had time I’d be doin the same thing. I paid 500 for a Honda Accord. And sold it for 2500. I put a set of brake pads on the front and replaced on of the cooling fans and the radiator. Wish I’d kept it
One of the best videos you have done.
THE BEAUTY IN THE BROKEN!
Loved this vid,I gained so much. Thank you!
25:55 put your seat belt on man takes 2 seconds, stay safe. :) Love the vids by the way.
a quick respray and detail, wow. I'd think most people would be happy to buy this for 2k
Respray, detail, abs sensor, and a catalytic converter at the least for a clean example that will sell without many complaints as you try to sell it to someone.
This motivated me and my bud to go out car flipping tomorrow! (And getting two phones to resale which is sweet)
I love flipping cars one of my passions
This channel is amazingly addictive
Middle of Feb and its 0 degrees? Heatwave! :D
I know 5 used car salesmen and they all said they'll sell just about any car except Chrysler
Great content and as you also said it’s a good time as well being tax season. People need good affordable cars
People DO buy with their eyes. That’s why my dealership details before we put them in the lot. My last place didn’t do it. That and test drives sell cars.
The way you move the camera made me think there were 2 cars lol
awesome video that is, quality content
Thank you so much
I'm a car transporter and want to sell cars.
