I've felt that this show (even with it's TV budget & broadcast censorship issues) did a better job of continuing the story after T2 than any of the movies.
I think she did actually come to understand.That's why she was trying to comfort the child. Just because she can't totally feel like a human, doesn't mean she can't compute what it means.
It's just funny seeing a robot can be so passionate with a kid, but the kid never realised that her mum is a robot, even though she says that her lap is cold.
@@user-uy1rg8td1v If I were the creator of the T-1001, I would definitely provide a heating system for at least the surface of the robot. Not only to keep it warm to the touch, but also to fool infrared scanners.
The little girl is amazing!! She looks terrified by Weaver!! And as Weaver spots her and starts walking closer with those menacing eyes the way the little girl reacts is just awesome haha I can't help feel scared for her :D Super creepy at the end but awesome!! Weaver knows she must complete the mission and she probes the girl's emotions to determine human emotions.
I don't think Weaver is on a mission, she is the mission. I think she truly wants to be more human, and so does Cameron. I see her behavior towards Savannah more like "ok, I am being a human, I have a daughter, I must try to do this correctly". Honestly, I think the terminators themselves kind of look at the humans like they are talking dogs, something at that level.

Yes totally. But when you first watch it, you don't know that and think the Terminator is just following its programing, which makes this creepy when first watching.

She still kills - but she only seems to be inclined to kill people who've wronged her (or agents of Skynet). That, and she took Weaver's identity (and parental care of Savannah) when the original Catherine died.
Far out For a T1001 She Acts so Human Like even tho shes probably one of the most Advanced Models in the Series Just Like Cameron (T900) Katherine Is so Damn Human like i cant get over it how Much of a Great Job Skynet did Creating it 👏

@Travis Carlson She was created by Skynet. Why some terminators decide to support humans is a mystery. These are independent models though. They couldn’t be rogue, if they weren‘t. I wouldn’t mind owning or being close to a T900 or the like. But if it’s CPU glitches, you‘ve got a problem.
the t-1001 Weaver is the most interesting character in the entire terminator franchise, and it isn't even a contest, everyone else is competing on the track and she's ran straight to another continent
The scary thing is by "her father" she's most likely referring to Skynet. I so wish we got season 3, this would have been great foreshadowing to the T-1001's backstory.

A T-1001 Terminator duplicated and replaced her with no one being aware it had happened (even Skynet and fellow Terminators were unaware but I digress), this happened off screen before we meet the character. The daughter just thought her mom become cruel and distant after her dad died, it's possible the mother wasn't great either but that's speculation with only inference to go off of. The Terminator kept the daughter around to study human behavior and to maintain the appearance that the mother was still alive. It's implied a few times the Terminator doesn't like the daughter at all, but it seems the usefulness of how the AI inside the Terminator referred to as "John Henry" likes the daughter as good for John Henry's growth.
@@Luna-Mutt exactly. The T-1000 and T-1001 weren't able to be controlled by Skynet (it's actually a fascinating lore backstory). Anyways the T-1000 in T2 just happened to agree that killing John Connor was in its own best interest. Where as the T-1001 saw Skynet as the bigger threat which also wants domination over all machine intelligence (which its line couldn't be controlled, so basically it realized Skynet would inevitably betray it), and due to John trying to recruit it in the future knew John Connor could accept it as an ally and equal, but realized his human allies were too fearful and bigoted to accept it. However John Connor is enlightened in its perspective and a human in can accept. So instead it went back to the past where it could make a counter to Skynet and ally it to John Conner in the past. Thus making humans see machines as allies against Skynet, which is just a rogue AI now in their eyes. It's basically trying to use time travel to it's advantage to free humanity of their bigotry against her kind. This is why "Weaver" never informed the other Terminators it had replaced Weaver. It's using Weaver's power to make her company and resources into an even bigger threat than Skynet realized. She's building Skynet's good counterpart to aid John Connor and defeat Skynet even easier. Basically to the T-1001, humans just need some guidance but Skynet is an authoritarian dictatorship that kills even potential threats before they do anything. Her line just happens to be in the unique position of being needed due to its abilities to fight humanity.

'Tell john the answer is No' in the submarine, was she the same Terminator that became Weaver?, changing her appearance after time traveling back. and what was her first plans once she was born out of that box?, the box that the submarine crew were afraid of?... just so many questions i had since the show was canceled. her story was very interesting.
Dad was killed in a helicopter crash--probably not an accident. Some think the crash was arranged by a shadowy company called 'Kaliba', which seems to be front for an embryonic "Skynet", complete with a bunch of human techs and 'musclehead goons' and a handful of T888 infiltrators to do 'the heavy lifting'. This "Weaver" copied and terminated the real Weaver and, to be honest, seems to be waging a fight against Skynet in this time period, like the Connors are--but Weaver is a lot less concerned with 'collateral damage'.

In everyone episode of this series you will find more interesting scenes, than in all terminators movies after Terminator 2
this show was uneven, but when this show was good, I think it was very good.

When I first saw this scene I thought she was going to brutally murder that girl like she did with everyone else so I avoided watching it for a while.
The plant where she went and destroyed everyone and everything was a future Skynet facility. Not saying I agree with her methods, but....
