I so much feel Bens pain. I’m cursed this way too. I’ve been playing D&D and other RPGs for about 30 years now and many a DM was stunned by my ability to either hit and then deal almost no damage or to not hit at all. And just like Bens, my non-combat rolls are mostly really good. Even in Roll20, where the Software „rolls“ the dice, all of the enemies my character engaged where eventually killed by other party members, because I just couldn’t seem to hit them or dealt minimum damage to them. In the time the party had overpowered and killed the main boss and his goons, my fighter was still struggling with the first guy at the door. (Who luckily was also rolling quite bad.) I felt like Happy Hogan in that „Iron Man“ Hallway fight with Black Widow. 😆
I was playing the other day and I rolled 5 Nat 20s in one session, all for attack rolls. On the flipside, the same dice were rolling Nat 1's like crazy the week before. Dice gods are weird.
