A couple things: she’s actually the official english dub voice actress for Uta in the movie although they didn’t have her dub the songs in the movie for some reason… as for recommendations her cover of “I’m Invincible” is one of my favorites that she covered from the movie😊
AmaLee is amazng. She was the English voice actor for Uta so it is really a shame they didn't take advantage of her talents and use her cover versions for the actual film. Probably contract restrictions or something of the like stopped them. She has a whole album of original music called Rise of the Monarch. I strongly recommend that if you react to it you do it all in order and only react to the last song "Call me King" after listening to all the others. In fact I absolutely insist on it. The songs are ordered to tell a story after all, you won't get the full impact otherwise. Trust me.
As a huge fan of Ado and Amalee I don't know how I missed this cover, I though I had listened to all her Uta ones. This is soooo out of her usual style, I am amazed of how well she did it, I didnt think she could be so sharp

I'm assuming the cost and licensing process is a bitch, but I'll still never get why they got a singer to voice this character who sings multiple songs in the movie....but NOT have her record her own versions of them for her version of the movie.
I’d love to see your reaction to the original as well. There are some musical aspects that ado does that amalees voice doesn’t capture! Amalie has quiet a sultry and fluid voice, and sometimes the sharp articulation in words is lost due to that aspect. Not a slam on her btw, it give her musics a great sense of personality. Just something I’ve noticed.
