In the current version 2.0.3 of the IQ-Reverb we've added your requested feature to control all reverb times with just one knob - feel free to try it out :-)
Thank you for your review and feedback! Currently, there is no feature to control all reverb times with one knob. But we like this idea and are planning to implement this in a future version along with other improvements :)
What a great plugin !! It's great to see you take into account his suggestion because I think it is a good idea too! I'll watch for a discount in the coming month ;)
“I don’t care and you shouldn’t either” 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂. Great video. I definitely appreciated that u mentioned CPU. Usage Extremely important part of a plug-in.
If any reverb is able to simulate thunder in about 3-5KM distance, then its gets amazing like never before. Thunder in real nature is the most complex diffuse and frequency based modulated sound can be. It's about 1000% wide and fully mono compatible!
@@DavidDiMuzio I love it... Try it out, they offer a demo trial and also it is a Convulated Reverb which sounds more naturally, but yes different flavors in reverbs which sounds pleasant in different tracks and aspects. In fact Cinematic Room for sound design is the most adequate but for everything else between Reverberate and Seventh Heaven you are pretty much well covered.
Damn it sounds great. I love it - it's the thing you can nerd yourself into and experiment a lot with and once have it in, you're set for every situation and mix. So yeah - pricey, but a keeper for every situation. To bad I'm broke af
I believe we are going to be seeing much more software based around IRs in the future! Amazing technology and the fact that processing power can keep up now really opens up possibilities. A plug-in like this could be used for MUCH more than just reverb if you feel like getting creative!!
Thanks for doing this I own this and it’s brilliant just need more English speaking reviews spoke to the team at Hofa really nice guys! Please support them.
Seeing a lot of bad buzz here, considering the UI and what I see on the video, despite being a workhorse, it seems well implemented, straightforward and inviting user to connect with simplicity on details i'm usually lazy to dive in (not mixing ingeneer but producer). I'll definitly give it a try
The 3d visualisation of the waveform looks really cool. The 3d positioning sounded quite interesting, even on headphones it sounded like surround sound.
Obviously a deep dive would show the amazing depth of possibilities here but i really think the visual feedback and showing what its doing to the sound is very cool ...
this is a super massive plugin. the workflow looks extremely nice and the modularity of the effects makes it very playful, but i noticed that there were discontinuities in the signal when you used certain parameters like the dry/wet mix or even when just dragging the positioner. i can understand that it might be very hard to smoothly interpolate from one setting to another with so many impulse responses doing their thing and all, but when you add a binaural panner to a plugin you just have to make it automatable. people sometimes want things to move around the room.
Before watching, you won't talk smack about this :P it's freaking beautiful and so overwhelming!!! Hahaha I will watch, but yes, it sounds freaking beautiful.
I have bought many reverbs. They are all good. But when I’m mixing I click on one set of reverbs - Valhalla. I may buy this because I like reverbs. But in the end some how it will not replace Valhalla.
The IR cut feature can come in very handy when making lo-fi. it sounds low fi at first but when you listen closely it's quite well textured and clear. I like it!
Wow. This looks incredible. Today is the first time I have discovered Hofa. I see why their prices are top shelf, their gear is top shelf. This would be perfect to use for film production when you want to create foley that needs accurate positional information. I'm grabbing the free bundle for now.
None of the sounds here wowed me. But I've been looking for a decent surround capable reverb so I might give this a spin! Otherwise I'm really happy with my UAD reverbs.
Please review and compare Cinematic Rooms algorithmic reverb. It is KINDA similar and they claim to recreate real spaces/halls and do 7.1 Dolby Atmos stuff.
R4 exponential audio is excellent same with reverberate 2. Perfect Plate (Denise) is another nice one. In the end you need to be a pro at using what ever you use hardware of plugin. Its the user.
Hey Wytze, You should do a ‘which one is the best verb’ - video like you did with the tape emulators. Use this one, the cla, seventh heaven, reverberate, nimbus etc
Have you already tested the old, classic and unmatched Anechoic Room Simulator? It's classy. Not sure if 64bit available. From an era when Smartelektronix were hot. I lived back then 😁
I'm doing a test demo on FL20 and when I try to turn the gate on IR1 section my whole DAW project just shuts down. It's as though I hit a command to exit without saving automatically, basically the instant I try to put the "Gate."
Oh yeah, best reverb I own. I really love the flexibility and that you can tune so many parameters. I use it for 5.1 and the fold down to 2.0 just feel same, really amaizing! I've started to use it on 2.0 because of this.
I do like Native Instruments RC24 for Mixing Room and Space, RC48 for shorter Room, Lexicon LXP as other Flavor to RC24, and Valhalla for space and special FX. All other stuff i have and tested is gone becourse they work realy well. Sometimes i use the Ozone 5 Mastering Reverb just for ultra short Room and Camel Space becourse of the FX usability. That hofa Reverb sounds Great - but i dont think it will be very praktical in Mixing Sessions. It can be great in a mix but when i need to adjust on more then 2 or 3 knobs it kills the workflow - i know my Reverbs and i do realy know what they do to the sound and my mix. So i think the Hofa Reverb is a Plugin that screems to get good named presets. I am not that kind of person who likes plugins that makes me crazy by geting stuck in the "perfect" sound. When other Plugins can get the job done too.. so it will be a realy nice to have, thats for sure when it comes to sounddesign but for Mixing there is a user friendly Design missing. Perhaps there is a button for "config" that opens up the engine - think that would be fine.
Usually you do not like gui's imitating analog gear, whereas you prefer Fabfilter plugins. Well, that shows how one prefers listening to music, some do it more with their eyes, some more with ears. Fabfilter's gui will make you use more your eyes, wheras analog gear guis with knobs and sliders only will make you listen more to the music. Interesting
I know you have done acustica stuff, but no one has said how they run on the m1 mac. I think lots of there fans would be curious how many channel strips you can run at a time on your m1 mini. Maybe not what you do on your channel but I would love to know!
I still use my now ancient WizooVerb W2 which was also available in a W5 version for 4.1 surround sound, Why it wasn't picked up and updated still baffles me but then again Wizoo were one of many perfectly fine, smaller developers that Digidesign bought up, swallowed and then Avid essentially just spat most of those acquisitions out, having done really nothing with the quality stuff that was already right there by said bunch of developers, They kept Trillium Lane Labs Space convolution reverb but didn't do a damned thing with Wizoo Systems, Inc.'s WizooVerb W2 & W2 reverbs...absolute madness! HOFA's IQ plugins and the more all-in-one style SYSTEM plugins I quite like, I do have a license for their IQ Reverb which is a quality reverb but I don't have a license for this newer one, so I shall have to check it out. I love convolution reverbs for adding mostly slight amounts of ambience via mostly the early reflections of a quality impulse response, that is one reason I love and cling to my old WizooVerb. Then for more reverb, reverb I use a number of options both convolution and algorithmic depending on the results wanted and the source material, I've been a longtime ValhallaDSP reverb and nowadays a lot more, Sean Costello is a wizard when it comes to reverb algorithms and he is also one of the developers that offer top-notch quality for an extremely reasonable price, Tokyo Dawn Records TDR Gentlemen's Editions plus Limiter 6 plug-ins are top-notch yet at great prices, Klangelm I'd also add to that group off the top of my head. Cheers for the demos and always keeping it honest man, all the very best! Dean
What you think about new Steinberg interface Axr4 that can ad/da 32bit 384 khz?is it the first that can actualy sample at real 32bit, not Daw floating points?

Multiple inputs to position different instruments/voices would be killer feature, unfortunately I don’t have this version, at the moment that is...
I've used HOFA products for years, and I'm so glad you guys are getting more attention. Good stuff!

I love the HOFA plugins. They seem to be overlooked by many but the eq, comp and limiter are my main plugins and this reverb is top notch.
Wow this reverb sounded good

The older version has the global percentage knob, i think.Great plugin.
control all reverb times with one knob: Master > Global Time Scale is the > 1 st Big Knob Upper Left Corner

Perfect Song for this Review!
I think Abbey Road plate reverb is one of the best reverbs out there
Nice. There's already another good reverb. As far as I know. Rumors.
Let's be honest, for nice visualisations we could still watch pr0n.
At half the price of Altiverb I'd consider it for post work. Assuming it has the same amount/quality of IRs.
I’ve got it with all the packs……..and easy when you’ve RTFMS and got to know your way about,

The “sound” is completely dependent on the Impulse Responses that it comes with which looks like hundreds.
I think you should do blindfolded videos. Compare plugins without watching. And tell which one sound best...
I dare you to find the "save preset button" , and after you save try to find your patch (its a hidden feature, really)

Did you look in the master tab? Could maybe be some global controls in there.
He had it open at 8:40 to 8:41. it's only level sliders, panning and on/off for each of the individual reverbs - no global settings.
